Patch Date and Time - October 21st, 2025 @ 10AM - 1PM PACIFIC

Version Number: v1.4.313.0
Size: TBD
Please note that due to compression differences Steam patch size may be larger than the standalone client patch size.

Patch Files (Direct Download) - TBD

Greetings MechWarriors!

This month’s update includes the release of the Icons Booster pack, 'mech adjustments, quirk adjustments, and more!

As always, a 2 week in-game Patch Science Sale will go live shortly after the patch and include all applicable items for testing.

'Mechs in-game and new 'mechs releasing are subject to future balance changes and tuning, so get out there and do the science so we can hear your feedback!

Loyalty Mechs:

The 2025 Annual Rewards Program has been announced! We are hard at work to get the mechs in a state where we can show a preview. In the meantime, players can check their eligibility HERE!

Icons Booster Pack:

Throughout the Clans and the Inner Sphere, there have been mech pilots who have made their prowess known to the world. Whether they have had entire books written for them or just a footnote in a TRO, many of them had their own custom mech variants made. This will be the first of two packs, with the second ones release date TBD. While all of these mechs do have hero names, they will come out for C-Bills after release like other Booster Packs.

Timber Wolf Bounty Hunter 2 TBR-BH2(S)

Shadow Hawk Sandy SHD-5DS(S)

Hellbringer Haight HBR-AH(S)

Dire Wolf Widowmaker DWF-WM(S)

Note from Tiyos: We know this isn’t the configuration of the Widowmaker everyone might recognize. The original Widowmaker loadout is something that can already be achieved with the Dire Wolf omnipod sets in MWO and I wanted to do more than just add an iconic camo spec. So we chose to instead use the “Widowmaker LRM” configuration that she used in her later Trial of Position in 3051.

-- END OF PATCH NOTES --

Patch Files (Direct Download)

To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.

Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.

This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam.

Patch File(s): TBD
Download the above file(s)
For sake of ease, we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
Launch the MWO Portal
Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
Click the blue Patch button
The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch
Once the patch is complete, launch the game

I think the railsharks will still definitely be very good even post-nerf. Being able to send 90 damage out to 931 in one exposure is really potent.

The Shadow Hawk Sandy is looking a little plane outside the number of energy hard points. Has potential but the team is playing it too safe.

Loyalty link's not clickable at the moment.

Super glad to see the Widow Maker and Bounty Hunter 2! Possible to add Med Laser Family HSL on the Shadow Hawk?

You're buffing the Flea-FA even more????

Are you guys just throwing darts at a corkboard covered in quirk notes now? the FA is already buffed beyond belief! You are giving it 30% more armor on the ballistic boat build for free.

The lighter armor pilots have to live with was the only balancing factor (and an incredibly small one) that all the cheese weasles boating MGS or Mags had to pay and now you are removing it? going from 6 to 9 on a mech moving that fast, getting all the hitreg gravy means that when someone does land a solid burn on one its not going to be enough, it will now take two. And while you are lining up that second the FA is dishing out incredibly broken damage for no balance, with its FREE ammo and now its FREE 30% more base armor.

What in the name of Kerensky is the rational for buffing one of the most busted and overfielded mechs in the game? Seriously, PLEASE. TELL. US. WHY.

Its still an absolute dog. Tiyos and the Cauldron all know that to fix the gauntlet the absolutly useless fixed armor has to be pulled out. Its only pride and not wanting to admit to an oversight that has stopped them so far, meanwhile all the people who bought it to support the Game and pay salaries can't field the Gimplet.

And do not get me started on "Its lore" they have ignored lore countless times the last 4 years.

Beating a dead horse.

We have a 40 point rail gun now. I would imagine if melee was that easy to add to MWO, PGI would by selling us melee mechs yesterday.

The MW4 version of the Hellhound is possible, it has been canonized as the Conjurer 6. I would love to see this as a Loyalty mech for those who bought the Hellhound Mechpack, but whether Tiy0s and PGI will move on that idea is up to them. So we'll see what happens.

Nah, still worse than RGH-2A (or even the Abaddon) if they really wanted to put an pretend medium/heavy on a 35t light that is as slow as an assault. And being a glass cannon without the cannon.
At least you can stick JJs on it.
Also the MG nerf is pretty unwarranted for people that actually runs it as a Firestarter instead of pretend Hollander.
The other FS9 buffs are welcome but meh, kind of minor.

VGL-Rival losing missile velocity (probably the most ignored part of its layout) kinda sucks, should've just splitted the nerf into b.velo and m.velo instead of just b.velo.
The general velocity nerf is obviously targeted against PPC builds anyway, lame that missile catches some stray here while also being affected disproportionately.

FLE-FA and PIR-D buffs are okay, we do live in a post-Fire Moth world.
Though the PIR-D getting buffed does raise questions regarding whether the FLE-17 will get remembered or not.
At least the FLE-20 (also neglected) still has access to stealth armor as an excuse even if it's worse than LCT-PB.

And oooh, IS Railshark got its last month's buff reverted.
Guess I was right to call it an unwarranted buff to an already strong variant.
Meanwhile Clan Railshark lost even more of its durability and it's still also a better Duelist along with the IS version, and I will say it will continue being as such even if it loses all of them like I did when the Railsharks came out.

And finally the Sovereign got its b.cooldown nerfed, but hardly that much, and it's still a better AC5boat Annihilator anyway with its better agility (one of the best for 95t because copy-paste from EXE) and Jump Jets.

Anyway the Bane-L buff I'd say is also one to watch out for, with it powercreeping stuff like 2AC20 King Crabs I guess.
Oh and it having more range to do its 2C-AC20+2C-ERPPC thing than the KGC does, or at all.
