Why not use the same naming convention for both factions? Clans not Clanners, Freeborn.

For stock 3050 the Clan chassis are invasion specific and are -
Fire Moth, Mist Lynx, Kit Fox, Viper, Ice Ferret, Nova, Stormcrow, Mad Dog, Hellbringer, Summoner, Timber Wolf, Gargoyle, Warhawk, Executioner, Dire Wolf

Sound like people will spend more time arguing over which variants are or aren't included than enjoying that pure tabletop joy of stock builds brought to life. The joy so often begged for to "even the field" for those that find cutting and pasting build codes too complex.

No, it's event queue. You pick your valid mech and hit go.

To expand on this, because not everyone will be familiar with the "stock mode" button in private lobbies, you do not need to have your 'Mech built stock to run it. Your mech will be loaded into the game with its stock loadout no matter how it is built

As I said, it's a test to see how stock might work. Additional thanks to Bows3r and JayZ for helping me pick 3025 appropriate variants that might also be good in a shooter setting. Also note that I used the og 3025 and not the re-released 1996 version so some "dumbed down" versions of Star League mechs will be missing. That said, let's see how stock plays and we'll adjust the allowed 3025 list (and Clans 3050) from there.

An additional thing to note since I've gotten this question a number of times -

You don't have to rebuild or do anything do your mechs. Just have the right permitted variant (or chassis) and launch into EQ. The game mechanics will automatically load the right stock config on to the mech/variant you've chosen.

How long does it take for people to get into the match? Been watching the spinny wheel for over 10 mins now.

Edit :- It was taking me around 10-15 mins to get into a match but once I found the Banshee and Anni as my comfort mechs in this mode, the match wait-times started getting smaller. Is it 'cause using the same mechs takes less time for the game to default to stock loadouts or is it just a lucky run of 4 matches?

No, the queue started probably in a lesser populated time of day and you were simply desynced from the match/matches going on. You should be fine if you keep queueing up when you finish a drop.

So this is fun. I just built a HBK-4P...mine happens to be a (C). Yep, you can use a bog standard, a (S) and a (P) but not a (C). LOL.

Honestly, I keep my mouth shut about everything these days. But MWO isn't built for these kind of mech restrictions. Production year is not a part of the MWO info card. This event is hard as hell to navigate with L,S,C, and F variants. Stock is, fine I guess. But, not what anyone comes to MWO for. It's just not what we do around here, like aiming with dice we're better then that.
