I'll admit, I have been around mechwarrior for a while and should have memorized what is Clan and what is IS, but because I haven't AND Faction play asks that you use Clan mechs for siding with a Clan in a conflict, I don't have any Clan mechs to put into my drop deck. Searching the store for just clan mechs is not an option either.

To go from a google search back to MWO and then see if the mech is worth purchasing is not an ideal experience. There has got to be a way to filter the store for mechs compatible with the faction you are signing with.

Additional filter options for both the store (IS/ Clan; Battlemech/ Omnimech) and owned mechs (skilled/ unskilled) would be appreciated. Unfortunate programming is Lostech, so...

Hey there, you two... This idea of adding an In-Game Store Filter for seeing what Mechs happen to be Clan and/or I.S. in their nature is rather good. You're going to receive a big...

...from me on this matter, because this Quality-Of-Life Fix deserves definite attention. B)

In the meanwhile, both of you really should look at "Kill2Blit's MechDB @ Nav-Alpha" (Found at "https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechs") information site, which happens to be the current premier resource for information like this outside MWO's Game Client facilities from what I know. At least then you'll both have the ability to tell which is Clan and/or I.S. easily without a lot of fuss, as things there are somewhat well-detailed and certainly identifiably colored. Oh yeah, they also have a search feature so you will not have to Google everything needing learning. :)

It's subtle, but you can identify the tech base by the bar below the variant name.

orange for IS, cyan for CLAN, just like the cockpit HUD
Or you can use https://grimmechs.is...im.org/Database This let's you filter by techbase and also provides some useful loadouts.
