Best Legendary Mechs?

Working hard to unlock the 300 presents needed for a legendary mech. At this point I have 100+ mechs so another mech is "not needed" and I am trying to find a legendary mech that has some cool/interesting quarks.
I'm having a hard time getting any quark info on the website, so I thought I'd ask the group which are your favorites and why!

Thank you, anything special with quarks?
What, the Dreadnought? No, no real quirks on it, just a boring assault that runs a slow brawl build.
Maybe try out the SR-4 that can run similar loadouts first rather than spending your realbucks on a boring Legend.
Li Dok To while sounds interesting, has competition from stuff like 3HLL Summoner-D too.
Now if you want "the best" then there's always the EXE-B-C/Sovereign whose main strength actually comes from the EXE-B-A arm pods exclusive to it and the EXE-Prime RT+LT pods that lets it stacks cooldown quirks and have as much firepower (4LB/AC5+2LB/AC2) as an 100t on top of being a really agile (though 48.6kph) 95t with JJs.
Seriously, it shares the same agility (accel/decel/twist rate) as the regular Executioner which is already really agile 95t.
Yes, it's REALLY boring but it is "the best" apparently, and also an example of why it should've been a separate chassis instead of being the same chassis as the Executioner which lets it uses the EXE-Prime ST pods in the first place.
No, no one actually runs it on So8.
If you want interesting gimmicks then try out Red Reaper/Onyx I guess.
A crash course on how to use the shield is to watch the compass on your UI and use it as a torso twist guide, put the enemy icon around two notches to the left/right of your current torso facing on the compass and from their PoV your shield should be the only thing visible.
Basically you'll want your compass to look like this:
Which would end up with you looking like this from the enemy's view:
Only to then realize that the Red Reaper/Onyx are actually pretty undergunned from the lack of heat/cooldown quirks, and using the shield is really just being nice and letting the other team farm damage.

This will let you scope out quirks on all the current Legend 'Mechs.
Legends generally fall into one of two camps: "Strong Bois" that are mechanically extremely powerful but also somewhat generic, such as Dreadnought, Sovereign, or Warlord, and "Meme Bois" that have a really wild, out-there quirk or quirk set that gives them a goofy or unusual playstyle at the cost of being kinda meh score-wise, such as Sigma, Ferroblast, or Li Dok To. Some people only want Strong Bois, some people only want Meme Bois, and the two categories only rarely mix.
If you're looking for cool/interesting quirks, you generally want 'Mechs from the Meme Boi camp, heh. Ferroblast is a hoot, though it having heavy 'Mech agility paired to light 'Mech groundspeed means it tends to get in over its head breathtakingly easily. The Partial Wing legos, Apache and Spectre, cannot be replicated in any capacity any other way, though they're, ahhh...kinda the opposite of good? The two shield lads are also somewhat unique, though in this era of Giga Chungus Ultra Alphas where half of any given team is in 100-ton bloatboats with enough autocannons to sink the Bismarcke in a single salvo, the shield doesn't go as far as it otherwise might have.

it gives you extra consumable slots. i have to admit that might be why it performs so well, i think it can pack 4 of them though you may need to allocate nodes for that. build wise i think i just use uac 10s and 5s. so its good at brawl to midrange. figure its useful in fp.
sovereign seems to get a lot of love and while i generally like executioners, it loses the mobility which i think gives the exe its charm. pros like it though so maybe im missing something.

Uhh because it just gets to churn out 28DPS at 800m with the agility+JJs that other 48.6kph-ers like ANH, DWF, or BANE doesn't really have? Also it's pretty durable.
The agility and cooldown quirks is what sets it apart from the likes of Gzilla/6AC5 DWF for sure.
Also technically it's not even an Executioner, it's Executioner-B the prototype chassis not to be confused with Exe-B the Executioner variant.

War Emu is a Strong Boi.
I got it as the 300 reward, set it up with 2 SNPPC, AC20+LB20 and oh my god it just hits things so. hard. and stands up to far more crap than it should.
Quirks?
Uhhh, it's durable. It doesn't need much fancy stuff. Point it at things. Kill them.

It is kinna the epitome of Strong Boi, though. It's a Stalker with an unreasonable-for-its-chassis loadout of ballistic hardpoints and nothing much else going for it beyond being a narrow, damage-spreading War Blimp with a gadzook of bazookas.

Yeah it has no gimmick, I think I remember people complaining that it was DOA, terrible, etc. because it wasn't tarted up and tbh this thing would be pants-s#!ttingly scary with some kind of strong gimmick quirk.
Something like the Howl is probably a bridge between Meme and Strong.

Yeah, because at launch it didn't have the durability quirks it does now, it was just a "ballistic Stalker".
