Delete PSR from match making.

New players are sorted to an island you see. These Tier one players in smerf form roll in with their ship and clubs. To have fun I'm told (sure hearsay) without damaging their Jarl's (modified psr) score to play a Narc Raven or a Firestarter shutdown mech. PSR actually sorts new players to a shark feeding zone really.

Put the timer on Pug play with that dual lobby box. 3 min.
Put the Swirly on Faction Play. Let the banners fly!

It is as if you don't want anyone to play faction. Sides Events.

PSR is there for a reason. I'll mention that MW:O use to not have any form of MM beyond "grab people and toss them into a match". People complained. PSR was created to help separate the masses by skill for the potential of better matches being formed.

If you want no PSR, or want to see the results when you remove it, look at the histories of Faction Warfare, which died rather quickly (in the grand concept of this game's life span) and some of that was because of the lack of a PSR system. MM just tossed people into whatever teams were needed to for a match, so a 12 man high skill team might end up playing against a pure PUG group of mixed players who don't know how to play with each other (never trained with each other). The resulting stomps was... depressing. (What really killed FP in the end was the map resets. Why play a game mode that is about capturing points, if the work you put into that could just be wiped clean at any time?)

FP continues to flounder, and some of it is due to MM issues (no skill based ranking system), a lack of objectives (why both attempting to capture planets if the work might get reset again), and added on top of that a lack of representation of factions (why become a Davion Loyalist, when I'm rarely going to actually be fighting for Davion, I might be fighting for Liao against a clan this cycle, and then be going to another house's banner later to fight another clan, etc).

As it is, Event matches (last I knew) do not use PSR. I do not know how popular those match types are, as I've actually have never played an event match yet... partly by choice and partly from a lack of being able to play (adulting sucks).

I do want to just make an add here; If you are making this suggestion to help queue times, I have a suggestion myself which I feel would lead to better MM queue times, change the game a bit, and likely lead to better matches/game play. It has it's pros and cons, like any change would, but I really feel that the pros outweigh the cons, especially with some of my recommendations.
