Hi fellow mech warriors I have completed my 25 cadet games and have played a few more games on top, and there is something i would like to run past you all.

Would it not be better for all new players who are just starting to only play in games where all players are cadets. I found that I had a lot of trouble against players who were tier 5 and also were able to upfgrade thier mechs with skills and consumables.

I just think if new players were only allowed in cadet games with the trial mechs it may help them gain a little more confidence. Sorry not putting this very well but it was an just a thought

Trial 'mechs have skills - that's what all the extra Quirks on them are for. So while you're a cadet, you still have access to fully-skilled 'mechs. Once you've gotten your starter c-bills, you can pick several good 'mechs and kit them out with good builds - but realistically, there won't be enough Cadets online to populate matches consistently. It's really a tiny slice of everyone's MechWarrior career, and the game would have to be going through explosive growth to make that happen.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i think you can equip trial mechs with consumables.. the skill tree is baked in, though.
