As you might have noticed I am very bored waiting for Aug 7th......
So let's make some battle plans!

Basically I wonder if everyone just hates the dragons or if people in the FRR are also going against Steiner.
Is House Steiner our liberator or just another enemy which saw no profit in opressing revolting drunken vikings?

Second question: Where to attack first?

I say Buckminster. We push "south" around Lyons thumb and then hit Terra, establishing ourselves as the ILHouse for all ti.... oops. Never mind.

Buckminster as well, but skip terra and push east cutting the snakes territory in half... They did want a buffer state after all. Taking all there southern and eastern planets would be in there best interest! :P

Yeah, lets start south at Buckminster and then join forces with the FedCom to crush the Draconis Combine. After that, leave the northern Regions to the Fecom/Davon and they'll have to deal with the Clans from that region and we can focus our defences on the North. :P

Well, a man can dream, can't he?

I do see some problems with this plan though... There are DC garrison forces that are bigger then the entire FRR kungsarme. Based on a weird scrying device i have i'd say the clans will be a big problem... And that we will see a astonishing lack of support from the rest of the IC in retaking our honestly given land.

You afraid? :)

One real Rasalhagian weighs up dozens of Snake "warriors". Don't worry. In reality they will be overpowered.

I believe overrunning the Buckminster Prefecture would give us a jumping off point to initiate further strikes into the Rubigen Prefecture as well as the Deiron and Benjamin Military Districts. However with our relatively small military we will have to keep our goals realistic and win any war with the Dracs piece by piece. We have to take over small pieces of ground and then keep it. It's slow but taking over a prefecture will do us no good if we lose it right away to a determined counterpush.

By far the Dracs are the biggest threat to the FRR. If anyone in the FRR has any common sense then almost ALL of our efforts should be towards the goal of weakening the Combine. Steiner will probably be too focused on the Mariks to care about what goes on with their border on the FRR that much.

As for those Clan/SJ haters that may be in the FRR.....let me remind them that Clan Smoke Jaguar never attacks any FRR worlds like Clan Ghost Bear did, going after ONLY the Draconis Combine. So aside from differences in IS/Clan politics, the playerbase of the FRR should be supportive of Smoke Jaguar efforts to further weaken the Dragon's influence in the Inner Sphere. Even the Davion playerbase has to be somewhat glad of this immense pressure that will be put on the Combine (considering the Davions will face the dreaded legions of Goonswarm a vengeful Capellan Confederation, I think Clan Smoke Jaguar will be seen more as a blessing for them than a curse).

(And if common sense and player driven outcomes are allowed to be in the game, then I do not think CSJ will be completely removed as a playable option, considering the gameplay imbalances that would create...not to mention **** off paying customers who invested their money in a particular faction only to have it taken away from them via "entitlement canon").

If we couldn't take a little Clan invasion I shudder to think what we'd do if Goonswarm showed up at our borders.

I'd say hit the stinkin' Draconis while still keeping eye on Steiner. My guess is that Steiner will go for Davion, but there's possibility they'll use our obvious war with Kurita to their advantage and stab us in the back. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.
Can't really talk about clans yet, as the situation may change in surprising ways in a year.

Ah yes, take back "your" planets. By all means, start with the Rasalhague Province. Surely overtaking our capital will have a highly demoralizing effect upon all of us... I may not be able to fight back knowing that the shining jewel of our civilization has been overrun by a bunch of self-righteous bigots. But please, enjoy the northern territories, but know that winter is coming, it will strike in a year... we'll see if you are hardy enough to endure it...

Neither.

Teddy better understands our freedom than Takashi and though Takashi is still coordinator, Theodore has a large sphere of influence in the combine.

House Steiner needs us as a buffer zone between them and House Kurita so I do not see any attacks originating from either Melissa or Hanse.

And clans? I haven't heard of them. Unless you're speaking of the periphery pirates...I would say they are our biggest threat but that is akin to feeling threatened by a gang of flies.

normally...........

steiner will be busy with marik and davion
davions will be busy with liao and steiner
and kurita.... there might be only one direction for them..... westwards to the frr
and clans.... we can talk about that next year....

Draconis Combine, obviously. Whyever would you wish to take up arms against your friends in the Federated Commonwealth? Or at least, in the former Commonwealth part, anyway. We love you guys, really we do! I'm sure we'll rush to your aid should your brave warriors need assistance.
