shooting dracs is a long honoured tradition in the FRR. I'll stand by you against the vat born filth invading our homes!

I'll support the republic through the long road ahead and with any luck take a few clanners down with me (but not before shooting up some Dracs).

AHH! Spoilers!

Just kidding, The Dead Man stands ready to oppose all who would see us trampled under foot

We shall never fall, though all the universe besiege us. We have shaken off the yoke of our Dragon oppressors and shall fight back any aggressors!

AND THE EVER EXPANDING BEURACRACY!

The bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of the ever expanding bureaucracy...

Honestly I am glad to see such support for the FRR.

To be honest the Smoke Jaguars are thinking of throwing in our lot with you as it will give us a chance to Kill Wolves before we can claim our clan as our home again. What say you?

Getting good relations with a clan? Stomping another clan? Trading with clans for tech? What's not to like!?

As excited as I am, do we think the devs will actually let the FRR be a playable faction? Considering what happens to us "historically" and all. :)

I liked the FRR simply for the fact of the Hell you gave the Wolves...win on that regard. Also if you can imagine, we have a common enemy, the Draconis Combine. Understandably Clan Smoke Jaguar keshik level officers have always prohibited the trade of Clan tech to Inner Sphere but Star League level items are certainly on the table, as well as second line designs.

We will need the influx of supplies considering the territory and manufacturing capabilities we are likely to lose. Though, we will do our best to rewrite the "future".

I just re-read the PC Gamer interview...

Quote

Players will be able to band together in the format of a lance, which is four, and they’ll be able to band together as a mercenary corporation for hire. That’s not unlike a guild. We have a whole editor and mercenary HQ for players to explore that allows them to customize the look and feel of their corporation, their membership, the structure of how they enter battle, the lances, their names, ranks, and all kinds of things.

Sounds like we won't be joining Houses. :)

I think since this is going to be a persistent & dynamic world the developers will be able to follow a rough timeline for when major events occur, but for the remainder of what happens I would think that we get to re-write history as this environment evolves. That being said Clan Wolf and Ghost Bear better watch out because it will be a different outcome this time!

So, the Snakes get Swedes and they think they're a House? The Token House, more like it. You're like the Okinawa of Japan or the Taiwan of China. Okay, I jest ... it's easy to do with the FRR. (And this coming from a Capellan!!) :)

Anyway, best of luck to you all. Don't let Redjack Ryan of Hendrix Grimm embarrass you too much.

This begs the question, where's the Taurian Concordat, or the Circinus (sp?) Federation?

Well if Haggas shows up I am sure he will start it up, he is all about the Taurians for some reason.

As for FRR.....since we know ya dont stop the clans,

I have commissioned the construction of the first ever Space Fence Blockade....LOL :)

To aide in the detection of unfriendlies and protection of Capellan Space !

You guys all have fun ! This should be a blast!

the smoke jaguars are more then welcome to join us before the clans invade. our lot will not be easy but we will get enough combat at least!

besides until the Rashalgue becomes the Ghost bear dominion we still have 8 planets :) better then nothing and comstar will be aiding us as well. Give them Ragnarök boys!

Comstar is our mortal enemy as you can imagine why, but they are everyone's enemy, they have been manipulating everything from the start!

I said we may be joining with them until our brethren return, ie the real clan (since CSJ never attacks the FRR anyway)...also tisk tisk, watch those contractions cadet!

*all in good fun of course*

Edit-Also check the forums we have a poll up to see which faction to join temporarily

There wouldn't be a section for the FRR if the devs don't have plans for us to somehow work for them. I think the FRR is definitely in the game.

We are all essentially mercenaries (i mean, the website address is quite obvious, don't you think?) but we get to choose to fight for which faction which would allow us to fight for and conquer territories for said alliance. It really makes no difference. And I bet that fighting and doing missions for a specific faction over time would grant you faction standings -> leads to faction specific rewards and bonuses. So yeah, you are joining a House/Faction, just not as its regular military.

Oh yah, this is from the FAQ and would be of interest :

"Q. Will you be able to pick what faction you play in MechWarrior® Online™?

A. When you first create your pilot, you are going to have to align yourself with one of the Great Houses in the BattleTech® Universe. Each house will have its benefits and drawbacks and it will be up to you to read up on the house selection menu on which house you will pledge your allegiance."

*smacks forhead... hard* :D

Gah... when I choice my name I compleatly forgot about the whole thing with Clan Wolf... not to mention that I did/do not really expect FRR to be actually playable in the game at all... or that there even was a dedicated sub-forum on the MWO forum for FRR... so I just went with one of my new names I recently started using online because I think it sounds cool.

Not to mention that Grimm is basicly German, and "Wulf" sounds (and basicly is as well) German rather than Swedish... :D

I would have choicen a more apropriate name if I had known/remembered all this... Oh well... what is done is done. It's still a pretty cool name none the less. :D

Maybe it's possible to change namn?

Anyway... being Swedish I feel that FRR is THE place for me to be. So no matter what my name is, this is where I belong. :)

I might have to take back my previous post about head-hunting you... Deal for an Orion or Like sized heavy? I could be pursaided to *distract* a DCMS garrison for you a time or two in exchange... Stricktly off the books of course, stuff gets lost all the time and attacks happen coicidentally at the perfect wrong time really often... Game?
