The numbers were skewed for both sides, so they aren't the most accurate depiction... :)

We've been running little "scenarios" in which we play the FRR at the dawn of the Clan invasion with the appropriate tech, and face off against the Clans in both MW4 (so hard to make canon mechs in that game, ugh) and MegaMek. :)

Some are more successful than others...

Ah, I see. This is a grand development.
I actually did something similar myself; but it was during the Jihad. Let me say, if your 'mech survives a nuke and a WOB Omega both focused on it, you can safely say you're my opponent.
His small mercenary group annoyed the Word, so they retaliated. He's lived against every thing they've thrown at him. I'm amazed.

I bet the people playing Clans were either PCs or from FRR. I can't see Clans on our forums loosing with Mad Cats, Dogs and all other crazy animals they breed. :)

Well, maybe except those who joined because of "shiny" mechs. ;)

Well the only mission the FRR truly won was the scouting mission....mostly because the main mod (me) was KIA...I mean MIA....I mean "distracted"...

Aside from that, had the Clans been able to field the appropriate numbers, I'm pretty sure the results would've been much different.

So are you implying that we (those who have taken the role of the Clans for these instances) are intentially tanking it to make the other people feel good or something? What the heck would the point of that be?

The "Clans" are played by other members of our units, or, in some cases in MW4, by all the randoms who join (which seems to be a lot of Smoke Jaguars) and always seem to take clan mechs. Please don't question our integrity, we (the people playing as the Clans) are out for blood and do our best to crush the other side.

I think you have it in reverse; the power players know how to utilize their beloved uber mechs and use every gamey trick to crush their enemies, while the "trueborn" clan warriors are too bussy role playing and trying to practice zellbrigen. lol

I'm just hoping the plot isn't too railroaded - that is, even if FRR wins a string of victories, we are still overrrun "on schedule" as dictated by canon.

If you're referring to the "FRR scenarios", the answer is no. All FRR victories only marginally affect the inevitable outcome.

I'm sure you'd be welcome. Even if each victory only counts the littlest bit, it will end up making a difference.

Is there some "Hey you posted allegiance to FRR, YAY!" guide?
I drive stompey robots and hate everyone Im pointed at.

Are we all just wanking?

Depends. Idk about the others, but the Skjaldborg (technically will be a merc group, which seeks majorly FRR contracts) has their own forum and structure for organization.

Well, with the way I've been led to believe that the way our battles come out can actually change the borders and scenery of the Inner Sphere (at least as much as major over-arching canon can take), I'd say that this might matter in some way.
As for the talking about it, well, when was that ever neccesary? We COULD just clam up and click on the FRR button when it comes to the starting allegiance, or choose FRR for who we're fighting for in the individual missions, or whatever it will be, but there's some fun to be had in seeing how many others will be on the same side as you, I guess.

So yeah, just wanking, but it's not so bad.
