Karl, those mechs look bad assed. They look like real war machines and not girly Japanese mecha. The RAC looks good.

- i have the same problem - i have 24 designated Skye Jaeger + two lances of heavy tanks
- 12 designated Lyran Guards
- 4 Royal Guards
- 12 Shadow Division
- 10 Smoke Jaguars
- 15 Ghost Bears
...well and i have finished only 7 (4 of them were painted by my girlfriend) - and you see 3 of them
... about 6 miniatures are nearly finished including the Pulverizer
... a quarter of those miniatures have a primary layer -> the Zeus, and the HGR- Rotary Tank
---another quarter are primed like the modified Behemoth Tank
...well and the rest has still to be assembled and primed

Problem is time management - when i have time i don't feel in the right moot - when i feel in the right moot i have no time - now for example

Fear my entire tiny collection of Iron Wind figures. I'll post the first lance I've ever painted in a minute.

The one in the middle is a Phoenix Hawk. There's an earlier higher-res picture of the Atlas somewhere in this thread with the head on the arm. I installed magnets in the head, neck, and hand so I could move the head around. I call it my "Jackyboy" variant: took out one of the missile systems and half of the machine gun ammo to install a wrecking ball on the right arm. My idea being if the wrecking ball gets critted, then you have to roll on the head chart as well.

AS PROMISED, my very first lance. As you can see, the pink along with the fascination for Jenners and Trebuchets ran early. I got somewhat lucky with how the Treb turned out, but apart from that...

Also, what about other games? I'm working on a Firestorm Armada fleet at the moment. This is my very first Sorylian cruiser, which I am very proud of.

I tried to edit it so the pictures of the cruiser would line up... Gah.

Amazing work guys, it's good to see people still taking the care and attention to make their mech look as good as they should do . . and no . . I'm way too ashamed to drop my efforts in here B)

I can't help but wonder. . how many of the non BT, MW playing generation are wondering what these are and where they come from B)

I'm 18. I didn't even know what Battletech was until GenCon last year. Imagine my surprise when I realized that the MechWarrior games I played when I was really little were based off of them.

Well, not Battletech, I didn't know it existed as a game when I played TT.
But I did used to play WH40k for a long time, from the end of 1st-ed (Rogue Trader) through 2nd & into the start of 3rd, when things got crazy (which I gather like the difference between BT and Clix).

If anyone remembers the old Portent or Chainsword & Bolter forums, I used to spend far, far too much time over there.. -_-

This army is probably the best thing I did, although I've played a few armies in my time.

If you're wondering why they've got blue borders & captions it's because I was putting them up for sale a while ago & I've still got the links handy in my photobucket account. (I got fed up of years of not getting a game )

Oh yes, and the pics are taken by laying them down on my scanner, hence the odd blob of blu-tac you can see preventing the bases from rolling round on the glass.

Built them using old 1st-Ed Terminator models scrounged from 2nd hand shops & ebay, to get the right era-look.
Hand painted banners & icons all round, generally mocked-up in photoshop, then printed to paper, stretched over a board & painted on top (stretching & taping down the edges prevents it from wrinking too much under the very watered down paints).

Got cocky & tried to sculpt tabards for them all using milliput, later I leared the benefits of buying a pack of hi-detail sculpted resin icons & making your own moulds out of that greenstuff, but I never got round to using that on these.

The text on the army banner is the entirety of that quote..;
"They shall be pure of heart and strong of body, untainted by doubt and unsullied by self-aggrandisement.
They will be bright stars in the firmament of battle, Angels of Death whose shining wings bring swift annihilation to the enemies of Man.
So it shall be for a thousand times a thousand years, unto the very end of eternity and the extinction of mortal flesh"
..run through an online Latin translator, which tbh was a sod to do because I kept misjudging how much room I had left.. :(

I've taken them to a couple of tournaments at GWHQ in Nottingham over the years, won a couple of painting comps but as to the game I was usually beaten pretty badly!
No one ever minded me using the Deathwing rules for them, in fact at my first touney my first game was with a Tyranid player (very fitting) by pure chance I managed to win so just like that he pulled the head of one of his 'Nid warriors & gave it to me. (top guy)
I returned the honour by taking it home, drilling a hole through it & mounting it on the dread's bannertop.

Not played in years though, pity.

*EDIT* Oh sweet baby geebus I love that pumpkinhead Atlas, Fabulous!
