Are the Marauders actually the Marauder II minis? I remember the old Marauder minis having much slenderer ACs (they used to bend if you just looked at them). I will have to get out my minis and take a look, of course they are all so old they are lead.

those are regular marauders. the original sculpts had the long thin dorsal AC, the battledrone and the slightly smaller battlemech minis, iirc

edit: i took pics of some of my figs, but getting them hosted requires ambition, which is in painfully short supply ^_^

Poor Commando. R.I.P :D

I think the fully articulated hands on the Commando would be quite beneficial in this situation....

Actually Throw a challenge to the Hunchback IIC, with a little luck you could take him down...and hopefully be taken bondsman by one of the others afterwards. :D

All of mine are. In addition to the Grimm Reaper Company machines I have a Star of Clan stuff (maybe 1 or two more than a Star) and I have a lance of randoms. I'm not quite sure how many I have actually; I had to ramp it down after discovering why it is called Metal Crack!

well after digging all the old Battletech stuff out of the closet this week, I finally decided to let my minis see the light of day once again, so I also thought I would take some pics and post them here.

Most of these are original castings in pewter from the Ral Partha days... and some are mishmash of parts I put together for gaming.

Oh man! Those are good, based off the color section in the 1994 compendium! Classy!

Technically not a "miniature" but it's still a tiny mech. I wanted some sort of battletech figure for my desk but couldn't find any kind of small sculpture/art so i repainted one of the old Warhammer toys.

I don't really know how to paint (or take pictures) but i'm reasonably pleased with the result. Looks great on my desk :D

There is a guy (his name is Sigma) on the CBT forums who would LOVE this. This is what scale... Z Scale? I can't remember what the larger plastic model scales are but he's all over this kinda stuff! Good job!

I'm not sure what the scale is : /

The mech is about 7 inches tall, just slightly taller than the battletech novels it guards :)

Here some of the last minis I worked on. I wanted to give the IS mechs a little more run-down and used look. Of course the Clan mechs are a little more well maintained and flashy.

I tend to paint my mech in Generic faction colors...easy to look at and say..oh yeah that is a House Liao mech, or that is a Ghost Bear mech...here is some more of my work...

House Liao...

Pretty bland...Gray and Green.

ComGuard
Posted Image
The Micron .005 black ink pen is your best freind when painting ComGuard mechs.

Ghost Bear
Posted Image
Dark blue exterios limbs shaded to white in the center...

House Kurita
Posted Image
Back Banners pulled from some 15mm Samuari minis. Bought a Kanji book and wrote the Chassis name (Or something close to it in Kanji on the banner...again using the Micron pen.

House Steiner...They do like the Big guys...
Posted Image

Clan Smoke Jaguar
Posted Image
Lesson learned here...Don't paint mechs the same colors ar the Clan logo...You need contrast or the waterslide decal gets lost.

Clan Jade Falcon, and House Davion...
Posted Image
Pinned but didn't glue the saggitaire at the waist so she could Torso twist. (Yeah I know I put the legs on backwards...looks better as a chicken walker.)
