I feel kind of bad, you guys all have these intricate long posts and I don't. I'm not much of a social person, so I'm not very creative during conversations but fighting is another thing. >_>

Just take some time. Dialogue are sometimes easier because half of your post ends up being just that dialogue, add in some in character thoughts or reactions and you have a long post. :)

Rudbeck as a member of the Quartet will shoot anyone that proves to be too annoying in their pursuit of Sierra and anything or anyone that threatens the effectivity of said merc company will be dealt with swiftly/violently(plus he has a distaste for poor come on lines).

Founder of the Draconis Combine; should've been 2319. Fixed.

Oh and by the way, is anyone up for a bar fight, as I just finished rewatching the movie "Cowboy Way" and I really want to write a Chris and Bubba version of that, minus getting tossed out.

Still a 21 year old vintage from a distillery that no longer exists and of a particularly high quality would probably not be cheap. <_<

guess our client is richer than we expected.and based on what i have seen so far i think this is a 12 person scenario. would make sense if he is still waiting on people. 8 good mercs would be enough to do most infantry missions. but in a mech fight it could be a little light. a full company should be enough to handle anything short of the of a house unit, the clans, or a heavy duty merc unit. and it originally said a 23' vintage.

The mercs need some speed, going Steiner works for the Steiner military simply because they have far too much money to waste. :)

"Speed is life," to quote basic fighter pilot doctrine.

Double the gun, double the fun buddy <_<
If you´re in tight situations nothing´s better than a gun. Or two. Or three. Or a whole Assault stuffed with mighty badaboom.

my black knight is no lightweight. uncharacteristically for a steiner i dislike most assault mechs. i much prefer the heavier heavy mechs. they got a bit of a speed edge while still having heavy firepower and good armor. though i was thinking about piloting an urbie <_<

If you are outgunned/outnumbered running away is what saves your life. <_<

The heavier mechs are cool, but once engaged they can only fight it out, which tactically speaking only works when you have support or know that it can be requested.

provided i watch my heat, my black knight can destroy anything i can't out run. and i never run out of ammo. as for the urbies the trashcans of doom are hilarious.

plus there is a canon urbie that carries nuclear missiles. it wiped out the second regiment of the kell hounds in egypt <_<

no you would be right. a lot of them are also ridiculously non-possible. least with the urbie it is a mech design that might actually function.
