Kazzen is a cold, violent person to e sure, but sometimes a fight is just not worth the trouble. Especially when the bathroom is stocked with the new August 3043 (or w/e year we are RPing in) edition of Playboy :)

He did say on the front page that it's currently locked, but that people should feel free to post bios anyway; if spots open up, it'll be first-come-first-served to fill them.

I tend to keep my post short from time to time. Today I was busy most of the day and when I came back I saw the thread was full of paragraph after paragraph of text. It forced me to just skim to catch up only stopping as the name Kazzen or as he was lovingly called "Freak with the mask" just to make sure I didn't miss anything important to my character.

Hey, Dirk likes the freak in the mask. He's just jelly.
No really.
Dirk tends to be a bit spiteful to people he doesn't know with gear he doesn't have that he wants or thinks is cool (Your helm and suit) or acting silly (Dai10 refusing to actually join the group and hanging back despite the fact he's clearly here for the same reasons as everyone else).
Otherwise he's a pretty nice guy. Although he still would be quite nice to all of you, since with the exception of Chris he has no reason not to be, if actually approached.
Of course, Dirk has no idea it was actually Chris who started the fight - yet.

also on a side note, no one has acknowledged my character exists yet besides maybe dirk and he never specified who the person pretending to not be part of the group is... it is depressing...

I thought that this:

just for the irony my character will show up with no one noticing repeatedly. have fun :D

meant that you didn't want to be noticed. Must've been a failure to recognize internet sarcasm on my part. Sorry!

Honestly, though - if you want to be noticed, don't stand around waiting for someone to notice you! We've got a pretty big group going; if you wanna be heard, you might have to speak up. So to speak.

i said that hoping for more of a wait WHERE THE **** DID YOU COME FROM moment. the personality of my character which i build in my head is very similar to my own. he won't try to enter a conversation til someone actually acknowledges his existence. he doesn't like forcing himself into conversations. in the past 6 months since his memory loss he has had run-ins with people he knew who got angry that he didn't remember them. also as a side note. i am kinda trying to keep him a bit more undeveloped in story at the moment. it keeps with the fact he is in hiding for the most part, while he is aware of his past he does not actually remember it. just wait til he takes the leather jacket off that is under his cloak.

:D

So realistically, can we just send in Dal10 to complete the mission?

Rudbeck at this point feels it is unnecessary to risk himself when they have the Terminator on their side.

i will say that he actually did die a few times on the table.and that metal plate won't stop much more than a light pistol round though it is excessive.

i think i will rewrite it to make it less demigod like.

also did you know that movies containing bruce lee actually had the fight scenes slowed down because he blurred on camera? and only the snipers were assassins. the rest was just hired muscle.

the second link a guy took a 50 cal to the face and survived.

you could survive a shot if you were lucky. also note that takashi kurita was in his 80's and took out numerous isf (i think. not sure if they were isf or dest maybe both) agents with a sword that he took from michi kotetsuna. those guys were trained to fight with a blade. this is just the galatea class mercs i am talking about. some might be good but most would be street fight level. if someone has training with his hands and a blade they could take out them easily.

edit: note if i overdo it just tell me. i have a natural tendency to overwrite stuff. i am trying to compensate but i have trouble doing so.

Being outnumbered in any sort of fight is not a good thing. It is only in a movie the "hero" manages to somehow defeat a group of thugs. Take any master in any sort of fight system and throw them in a fight with a numerical disadvantage, then watch as even these experts of fighting end up in a world of hurt.

Even worse if they have guns and any other form of weapons. After all its not exactly rocket science to simply aim and fire a gun at someone...

No, this is one of those stupid myths a bad Martial Arts instructor will tell you...someone who has learned how to fight on the street whilst not "classically" trained to fight is in my experience much more of a problem than a "trained" fighter.

I get that you want to make your character bad-***, but there ways to do so without making it seem silly or impossible.
