So you tell her she's the scout, and off she goes. And no one notices your little Raven faffing about under ECM TAGing things for Dirk (So he has x/y positions for what piece of Tombstone he's about to remove) and slapping NARCs on mechs while she ambles along happily.

Tell her to scout anyway, lol. But I see your point, I'd also like to say that the big Atlas would be getting lots of attention while Nik's sneaking about making like miserable for the 'Badguys' largely ignored.

She's in an Atlas in the paint scheme of the 2nd Kathil Uhlans, it's a logical conclusion. Besides, with Dirk backing her up, she can't lose...Just stay more than...call it 100m away from whatever you want to die. 45m blast radius + the scatter...

Nik had a Raven... it didn't really make it off Menke in one piece though. So he's now rolling in a Chameleon (fairly common training mech)with the juicy high tech bits and parts from the Raven, the sensors and targeting system from a Phoenix Hawk, and the extra light engine from the newest Marauder variant.
