Though many in the Federation of Skye may see the Federated Commonwealth as a bad thing, one has to admire the tenacity it took to forge such an alliance. Katrina Steiner was the greatest Archon the Commonwealth has seen in generations, and the entire Inner Sphere is lesser with her passing. Though I support the Free Skye movement, I honor the leader that was Archon Katrina Steiner, and as my fellow Ranger stated, pray that her daughter be at least a fraction of the leader that she was.

A tragic loss, to be sure, but one shouldn't dwell so much on the past.

One has to give here some poiints for political astuteness. Jumping the "peace train" all of sudden (not something you would conject with Steiners usually), when it seemed prudent took some insight. The opportunity to use that as a vessel to forge the "axis" with Davion and unbalance the IS for good didn't make her hesitate...much, obviously.
But then with House Steiner you usually don't have to worry much about what the common people think, do you? Reminds one of those obscure 21st century politics back on Terra.

Indeed. Well, given the prevalence of that archaic and foolish institution "Socialism" back on Terra it was made evident people are incapable of properly fairly governing themselves. The sheep need shepherds. And House Steiner just happens to have said shepherds, they all just happen to be in ATLAS's.

Gosh, and for a moment I was seriously thinking you were going to claim House Steiner was into sheep. Well, considering the scandalous lives of the upper echelons of Lyran society and their well-known "exploits" (well-known thanks to Steiner holo-tabloids) wouldn't be too surprising either...
