Dunno where this really goes but I'll put it here.

Some things I'd like to see for the forum if it can be done:

1. Different color schemes

2. The shrinkage of the area between the MWO logo and the top of the forum, Currently this is reserved for the "reserve your pilot name" but if you've registered then its just wasted space.

3. A fluid forum width which stretches wider for wider screen resolutions. 50% of my screen is unused space atm.

4. The ability to stay logged in. I don't know if this has been answered but why do we log out even though we check the "Stay Logged In" box?

5. Some sort of indicator that says that an Admin or a Staff member has posted in a particular topic and the ability to jump to that post.

IMO, quite honestly, none of those things matter one iota. But that's just me.

Duh theydon't matter, but they make the forum more pleasant.

Though I admit I like this color scheme, I have a problem with constantly being logged out no matter what browser I use.

Instead of having the Login system using the "season" method use cookies to remember people logged in.

A function to collapse the space as on SMF sites would be welcomed ^_^

Why, that is redundant and an intrusive suggestion imho. The Admins and Staff Members has a unique name colour already?

Also a more advanced Reply function too, hitting MultiQuote does not insert the new text to an already open reply on the same topic

Currently here you can only see if a dev/admin authored a post. With a tag indicating that a dev/admin posted in an end user thread, it will bring much more attention to the thread. It's more a question of does the team want to the community to know at a glance they have responded to a thread. (although it's not like post history cannot be checked but that is not inutitive.)

The marker could be added right next to the post title.

A topic marked such will gain more attention with the only reason that a staff member have commented in it. It serves little usage. It would also create a somewhat biased board since the topics that is not commented by the staff will be dumped rapidly down the list due to lack of the staffs post. It shouldn't come to that, that all topics should have equal ground to gain attention. I wouldn't cross that line, not even with the current board structure in mind, which is pure hell to parse through, that there is no function to see replies to own post other than by looking in your profile. That alone stalls responses and following up on topics.

The reason that I say its intrusive is that the staff would no longer be able to post without being constantly monitored, unwillingly, and with such in the back, they would most likely begin to censor their own posts, or worse, not post at all.

The only reason I disagree with you is because a certain game with 10 million accts and nearly the most active (if not the most active) of all gaming forums features this and features it to great success. So while your fears are valid, I don't think they are severe enough that such a feature would be a bad thing. More people seeing dev responses means more people informed of actual facts, which can lead to less repeat posts and questions and an overall more informed community.

You mean WoW :) and I see what you want added. If its used on strictly for supportive post such as BUGs and Known Issues, etc., it can only help, but not if its on every post a staff member would make since it would just create an excessive amount of useless redirects.

I do, and setting aside my personal feelings about the game, that is one massive and vocal community to deal with. You have to give their team a lot of credit for being able to keep their minds dealing with all that craziness.

Yeah, I saw that on the Blizzard forums and it helps sometimes. Also, COMPLETELY agree about the log in thing. It's really a huge pet peeve of mine.
