I love heavy mechs, always have, probably will for a LONG time to come.
big enough to hold some nice big guns, yet still fast enough to be able to move.
of the MWO heavies ive only just gotten into Dragons. (i love my Flame thanks for asking)
i enjoy the Cata and just unleashing hell with whatever arsenal i have with me.
i love running around in my dragon, i feel like a big medium mech. i love that there seem to be more of them around. well it seems like that anyway...
i love my catapults. my C1F, with its dual large and dual MPLas and dual SRMs.
my C4 is fun to brawl in.
but of all the heavies i have both owned and trialed.
THE A1 IS NOT GOOD!!!
all the weapons are in 2 locations.
the better builds limit you to 270M, you are most effective at 150M or less
splitting between LRMs, Streaks and Srms limits ammo too much.
I despise the facts that anyone with decent aim can screw over an A1. no arms, no weapons.
simple as that.
end of rant.

Good A1 brawler pilots will not give you the opportunity to blow off their arms, they will wait for the appropriate moment and get you from the rear or side when you are already engaged. If you see an A1 derping around in the middle of nowhere, he gets what he deserves

I don't like the A1. It's too limited. If I am going to melt things with SRMs, I'll take out my 5xML, 5xSRM4 Stalker. I prefer those SRM4s over sixes any day

yeah i learnt that the hard way...
either way i find the play style so boring. and i still feel so vulnerable, exposed....

The A1 is my mech of choice if I am playing drunk or very tired.
Its a simple concept for simple minds. Sneak up on the enemy. Wait for the fight to start. Get in and do as much damage as possible.
If I tryhard I will go for a 3D or K2.
