I've been playing mechwarrior games since mw2 and i absolutely disapprove of what mw living legends is doing where you have to earn cbills to get a stronger mech in the course of the round.

Will this be the case?

I much prefer the standard choose whatever you want in the beginning, or use TOTAL tonnage to limit mechs. The living legends method basically becomes so that some players just become an avalanche of pwnage faster and faster.

Also, any of you guys still playing mw4 on mektek? I havent been on in a month and a half cuz of skyrim ;)

I don't se them using an upgrade system during the match, it'll be a run-what-you-brung system.

That just doesn't work at all in my mind for Battletech and turns it an arcady arm's race every match. Tribes Ascend does this and it's fun in TA but partly because it applies to your base, not the weapons you are literally using.

I'm old school. I want to carefully pick a Mech and run it like I've been assigned that Mech by high command. No Mech hopping, buy bigger better best as you go. That would totally take me out of the environment. I want to drop in with my Mech, fight with my Mech and leave the field [hopefully] with my Mech. Then repair it and get ready to go again. When Inner Sphere or Clan tech becomes available, make modifications to my chassis or trade up to a better machine. As I understand things, our pilot skills and perks will increase over time, allowing us to get better with certain tactics, weapons, etc. This would make much more sense if we stayed loyal to our particular BattleMech. The Clans have a more flexible system in the BT universe where their pilots are assigned a chassis, but they can configure the pod space to their taste, misson to misson. Modifications like that on the general Inner Sphere Mechs would take weeks, months even. I guess I want to immerse a little bit into the universe they're creating.

Whats your name on mektek? I'm Aleksey, but some1 already registered that here ^_^

OT: I really really really hope they dont eff this game up with what they think "modern" gamers want. "Achievement Unlocked, you have modified your torso weapons" Or some kind of noob friendly piloting system and controls.
