(Greatings Warriors. here are a few suggestions that came into my mind by gaming. pls read and take your pos if you agree or not. Thx, have fun, FS)




... adding a little credit bonus for things like player used most ammo this round, player stayed longest time uncovered, last survivor, killing streak, etc( ya all know bf and c0d).

adding a thing like the crysis quick switch armor mode through holding the mouse 3 and popup a screen menu where you maybe can mark enemy mechs for team, switch radar on or off, duck the mech, power up down.. etc(maybe possible through the crytek engine, cause works in crysis(LL), but maybe im blueeyed about this).

what about a oppurtunity to "plan" a mech loadout even with not having enough money for it. so you can see where the travels goes and how lmuch matches you must make to purchase it. helps to staying focused on the game.

what about a more realistic driving, means slower at hills, water, high heat, core damage etc.

what about introducing some different ac models. for example a "luxor ac20" that shoot 1big grenade with long reload time and a "whirlwind Ac20" that shoot a small stream of about 5-6 grenades to do the same damage. so it is explained in the book´s, every manufacter of ac´s use his own style to prevent the damage thats needed for an specific ac class(s,m,h,l). Lasers are also like that, remember the good Vandenburg lasers, or Martell.
Whats with the different ac, lrm, and other munitions? like swarm missile´s, guided ac ammo, etc.

adding a lil chart for the weapons stats like heat, range, firepower, reload/ammo in the mech lab like in mw4 for better customizing? no numbers, only charts if you want to hide hard facts for later adjustments.(please excuse my bad spelling, hope you understand me through). know that now ( http://mwo.smurfy-ne...0d74934cf263040 ), but still no range, heat, firepower per weapon.

ragdoll doesnt look realistic. and no death explosion ever seen. But riding a fusecore that blows should be visible, or not? must not be an explosion, what about a brighter getting glare like sun that falls of in it and leave a half mech, smoke or something in this way.

what about an opportunity to loot with a maybe 2-5% chance 1-2 weapons on the battlefield from the mechs you killed that round. makes a lil extra timing in aiming worth the effort to shoot down mechs with headies or cracked LT/RT.

what about a little more info on an extra mechcard? to get players more into the thing. like the TRO´s with their lil storys about use of the mech/tank in history.

what about a gamemode where you can regroup at a rearm- and repair point? makes the game really deeper, cause you must decide to stay and get maybe one more kill, then die and become a spectator and cant do anymore. or to pull back and repair for maybe credits that you pay from the loose win income salary, and to go for a few more points for your score. means a conquermode with the homebase as a repairbase.

what about signs/medals for records ingame? as a reward for the profile.

look about things like mwl, netmech, nbl hardcore, mbo, etc and see what you may can use. there are good useable things and experiences that these online-leguaes had worked out.



and see the loyal fans waiting for a new content. you sit on an legendary treasure, mechwarrior was once the popularest fantasy/scienefiction series in the world. it was an hole universe like starwars. with not only mechfights, but politics, things about normal life in 3050, and all lil sweets that make the difference between eg starwars and maybe things like other sciene fiction like sg1, lexx, farscape. they are all good in their ways, what makes starwars to starwars is the info und showing of almost all aspects in that "scenario" (hope you understand) i was in the chance to get my fingers on the first novels in germany at the 90´s, starting with the book _decision at the thunderrift_(3rd greydeathbook) at the age of 14. from there all my pocket money flows in ca 56-58 books, the tabletop game, all mw games from mw2 on to now(and tries on the amiga with mechwarrior cresent hawks).

best thing was mw3 from gamemechanics and the real "this is my custom mech-feeling";;; best story and gameinsidefeeling through "free decision story" at mw2 mercs and mw4 mercs. best feeling in really sitting in an 3025era mech was at the beginning of netmech in the timeline 3025. acting there gaves me a real strong feeling in piloting an older mech. : .
so please mister mechwarrioronlineteam, do a good thing to this. this is bout the last chance, cause the "old" (and real, still loyal after microsofts attempts to destroy the whole thing after mw3) mechwarriorhood die´s out. and mechwarrior dark age is a thing... mhhh... dont mind to see it anytime as successful as old Fasa. so what do you think about it. one more beer, 2 cigarettes and i really like to tell you a few more things about the magic of battletech? cause im a 31 year old, but through still a likely mechwarrior. and be like a cougar on the hunt in the smell of a "maybe" new and good mechgame to please my wantings. so do it. please. make my life again like it was in the old days as i was one withe mech and all senses focused on this one thing ... moments of glory and pain, but nothings was good like this, driving a good car or having sex are the only equals. maybe... :)


anyone read the books? may then you can understand me. and got also some clues from gaming that can help to improve the game. Thanks anyways

I think you will get a lot more replies if you break that wall of text into parapgraphs and try to make your points a bit more clear. Also, when offered brownies, make sure to ask if they are "funny brownies" or "special brownies".


With that said, I would also like to see some mini-awards, and I also agree that this game needs more immersion. Changing the economy made this game feel a little less like Mechwarrior, and a little more like Quake Arena, IMO. And all these quick deathmatches (aka assault or conquest) aren't really doing much for immersion either. The tempo is too fast for my liking. It doesn't feel like the old games.

Yea, the pacing in fights is far too fast. I'd have to say it's probably because the maps are fairly small. Make Assault about taking out the enemy team, not capping their base.

Conquest usually boils down to 1 team going as one giant pack from point to point killing everyone they come across. If the maps were larger, the team couldn't afford to go around as one big lump as a smart team (or individual pilot I suppose) would have Lights running around capping multiple other points.

by that way... anyone got experience withe zoomwindow upgrade? have i seen it right that it is so big that you cant use it not good? (so i dont should use it? really hard thinking of spending this much points or not) if it is so, then maybe a zoom like in mw3? i always like it there, is it possible to use that here too?

(by that way, please see this thread not as critism on that game, cause im still fine withe game, more see this points as positive arguments of improving game. wanna really hard say that i LIKE game. no crying about this or that, cause game is beta, and ive playing a few years online, so i know the "sometimes you loose, sometimes you win" feeling from other mechwarrior games and fps like bf3(like2fly2much2beatthatscrapgame). yes, game needs improvment, but i see it on a good way. if someday the graphic is like crytek engine really can, the roleplaying part is set with scoreladder and maybe a league or coop games, and the game works fluid, what more you want???
