None of that "20 stock icons to choose from to distinguish yourself" bullcrap. If you're going to allow individualized customizing (mech colors, dog-tag, pilot tag etc..) then PLEASE spend the extra day to put a good 200+ icons/graphics/designs/fonts/colors into the game for us. nothing is more frustrating than when a game offers "customization" and then gives you 2 dragons, a cross hair, and a skull to choose from for your "SUPER AWESOME UNIQUE IN-GAME ID CARD!"

Just a thought....first of many to come ;)

We witnesed how well that went over when players were given free rane to make all the pinup and racist visuals they like n__n

Phantasy Star Online did it long before Call of Duty; while there were people who certainly made the "gross" graphics, if you look at the personalization level in APB -- for example -- I really think if you're going the 12 on 12 route, it should be possible to provide something "closer" to that experience.

The way Sega dealt with it back in the Dreamcast days was a simple warning the first time, then a 1 week ban the second time, and then a permanent ban after that. But I sort of like the approach of making it be a premium item -- a paid item -- and then not refunding it if it is found to be obscene. The little kids aren't going to spend $0.99 to make their obscene graphic, if they know that as soon as a couple community members click report, they're going to lose it. Instead, they'll troll in the chat channels or find something like pressing C repeatedly while next to someone's leg to do, equally juvenile and inane, but free.
