Hmmm i already moved 7 crates of manga to attic :D That stuff just keeps multiplying :)

But pdf and a nice tablet works well.

Awesome. Another use for my iPad. Many of these source books are falling apart anyway. Guess I'll have some searching/downloading to do....

Catalyst has been publishing a lot of the books in PDF too. So you dont need to buy hardcopies anymore if you like electronic ones more.
Even some of the old books have now been made into PDF format.

If the Rifleman makes it into the game I'll be happy. That's all I want, really. A couple of nice autocannons and a 'mech that's built to use 'em properly.

Ehh, suit yourself. I've had a Rifleman solo a Warhammer on the tabletop before, I love the things.

Problem with the Rifleman is the threat is in the arms, so you target the arms. :)

I wonder if there is going to be a Crusader in the game. That was my favorite from the tabletop game.

Gimme a Firestarter and some infantry, and I'm a happy man.

And if all I've got to go against is 'mechs...well, I always did like playing DoT-based classes in fantasy RPGs. I'm betting burning a Dragon down to the rails would give a similar sort of satisfaction.

We also captured Nanking in the 4th SUC War, which produces the Wolverine and the Rifleman. Also during that war we captured so many Ravens that observers believed it to be a new Davion mech instead of Capellan. All info from the TRO 3039.

Oh, the RVN-2X Ravens. Without that EW Suite, our Ravens feel more like random light scouts as opposed to an electronics warfare rig. Then again, more armor and a Large Laser does sound more desirable in an age where rediscovered Lostech is still early in its re-implementation and all. o.o

What worries me is that some of the Davion mechs of the period are among the "cursed" unseen and probably cant make into the game because of those Harmony Gold license rights.

Check it out
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Unseen

Probably is better to remove the folowing mechs from our expectations.

Locust
Valkyrie
Hornet
Phoenix Hawk
Rifleman
Marauder
Longbow
Warhammer

Ouch... i feel depressed now ;)
hmmm... i realy hope the Shadow Hawk, Griffin and Wolverine are available, those are classics.

Project Phoenix solves this issue - ALL the unseen have been redesigned, or else Ironwind Metals would not be producing the mini's. Furthermore, the redesigns would be altered by Flying Debris, mush as he has reworked the Atlas, Hunchback, Jenner, and Dragon, which would further distance the designs from the unseen images.

The real Shadow Hawk is a well armored 55 ton medium mech armed with a class 5 autocannon, LRM 5, SRM 2, medium laser, 3 jump jets, and the speed to almost keep up with a Wasp - No matter what the image is.

I asked the same thing as part of the Q&A questions we could post and they said they would redesign them just like they have been doing the rest of the mechs so we probably will be seeing them, but it could be redesigns yet again.

Wohooo...
Thanks for the update SMDMadCow and Barantor. Those are great news.
I became an addict of mechs like Locust, Shadow Hawk, Wolverine, Rifleman, Warhammer and the yummy Marauder since i read my first Battletech novel, "The decision in thunder Rift" and the rest of the Gray Death Legion Saga. Men... that was long ago, i am geting old.

Getting some of those would make me an happy camper indeed !
Oh and i dont mind about them beeing redesigned, i realy like the work Alex Iglesias is doing. The mechs are becaming more like practical war machines and loosing the manga feel that some of recent years seems to be introducing.

Some years ago they redesigned the Unseen mechs, gave them new looks that resembled somewhat their old ones so you can recognize them. But that made them usable again as mechs in art and games. There is a Tech Readout called Project Phoenix that has them all, the IS and the Clan ones.
Or go to http://www.sarna.net...Project_Phoenix . There you can see some small pictures of how they now look.

Thak you Sir !

I actualy like what they did with some of them, like Stinger, Wasp and Valkyrie.
Still digesting the Rifleman, Marauder and Warhamer tough... but if it makes them come back, i am ok with it. And Alex Iglesias can make them better.

God I hope they have the Marauder, Rifleman, and Warhammer as they are my top three favorite heavies. Not to mention they are classics to boot.

Well, we have production sites for the Marauder on Kathil, and the Rifleman on Talon and Nanking. I guess we should be able to import Warhammers from House Steiners Sudeten plant? I too hope to see them, and we should be able too.
