I ask because it is by far my favorite BattleMech... I don't care if its slow. Looks good and performs like it should. So... Anyone know if it will be in the game?

The game is set in 3049. The Blood Asp is a Clan mech that appears in 3060. So in short... no it's not going to be in game.

Not doubting you. Just got my source from the 3060 TRO. :D

Not going to be in the game AT LAUNCH.

One of the core aspects of a F2P market is the ability to add content at a later time, and I don't think they're going to wait 11 years in real life before they add community faves.

Wanna make a bet?! :D

well... here's to hoping you are incorrect. i dont see why they couldn't put in a "prototype" Blood Asp prior to the year of release. even if they made it so to get it was a micro transaction of real funds at say 10-20 real dollars, i would pay to get it. They could, in theory, have a set of prerequisites before one was able to use it as well to enable a sort of "balance". I know there are many others out there who would be willing to pay a small fee for a prototype Blood Asp with maybe slightly different weaponry, less advanced sensors, and maybe a in-game credit fee to earn that beast, myself included. So, here's to hoping they read this post and take my idea under advisement to maybe add it as such...

I don't think that is going to happen...the whole point of releasing the game this year is, I think, so they can work out the bugs for what will undoubtedly be the first big release; the clanner invasion; so it's highly unlikely you'll see any clan tech until that time. maybe drips and drops coming up to the release, a month before hand perhaps...even then they are likely to be scout mediums and lights, I would have thought.

Just take heart in the fact that you are not the only one; I really want a Nova to pilot, but I am not expecting it for a long, long time.

Sure. The Clan Invasion lasts for only a year and the next major conflict is the Jade Falcon ops into Lyran territory circa 3057, followed thereafter by Operation Bulldog and Operation Serpent in 3059. I'm sure there are conflicts between that dead zone and people who know more than I about BT history can probably bring up a whole list, but that would be an ideal skip point since it covers Technical Readouts 3055, 3057, 3058, and 3060 (which was released to highlight the mechs in operation during Bulldog and Serpent). After that you have the FedCom Civil War and TRO: 3067. After that is the Jihad, which I hope to God they just reduce to a Civil War between Comstar and the Wobblies.
