This needs to happen. Melee has been missing from every battletech video game that I can think of.

I vote Axman vs. Dragon. need to trim that fat gut with the Axe
I can't wait for Death from above damage.
I don't think they would implement melee attacks though I am no programmer, but I would say that balancing Melee in a game like this would be a nightmare.

AWESOME.... I mean... AXEMAN!
I have never seen any MechWarrior video game do physical combat well. Here is hoping it can be pulled off, I would like to pilot THIS 'Mech!

Only trick I could think of is that some mechs simply can't do it. Though in order to punch you can't fire your arm weapons at the same time in Battletech, so things like that could balance it out. That and unless you let every mech mount hatchets, you wouldn't have many of those to figure out. Keep in mind Shooters have had melee since their inception, so no big reason why they couldn't be done.

Nicely done. Although I am a bigger fan of the original, this one works too.

Even without a working axe i would still love to play the axman. the standard weapons are still pretty nasty for a heavy mech. ive been using a katapult with the same weapons to see how effective that mech woud be and its still pretty good
