I'm at work. I like this mouse. I like where the buttons are. I press and enjoy them! I will listen to your video later!

I do not think I will ever get used to the buttons, I just use "5"

I have one and love it. For any game where hotkeys are used it works very well. Kinda rough to get the hang of and the last row of 3 keys is nigh impossible to use though.

Careful darkrai

Something to keep in mind is that the mouse reviewed is not the Razer Naga 2012 that's being sold today. I got a great deal on an original Naga 2 years ago and used the CRAP out of it until the right click finally wore out and became too twitchy for me to handle.

The Naga 2012 has green lights instead of the original blue, if that matters. Also, the two keys by your index finger have been moved directly behind the scroll wheel. Not MUCH more accessible, but a little bit. It might be useful for alt+tab, but that's all I'd consider. The original one was a bit small for my hand, but this one comes with three replaceable side rests that snap into the right side of the mouse. This will let you extend your palm/pinkie rest without adding a lot of weight.

Other than that, this mouse is epic for any sort of MMO work, and it's quite useful for MWO as well. Anything that binds to the number keys is seamless, and since that's where the Mechwarrior series puts weapon groups... What I usually do is bind my "main" weapon to group 1, any support weapons to group 2, and an alpha strike to group 4. Set the left click to activate group 1, and you're golden. Although I have played with more complicated groupings, this is the simplest I've found. But for the Founders Atlas... It'd be a big deal to group the medium lasers to 1, the LRM to 2, the AC/20 to 4, SRMS to 5 if they're not matched with 1 and an alpha strike to 6.

Your entire groupings, and you don't have to right or left click at all.

I actually just bought one of those mice yesterday. I'll be honest, I had it out for five minutes before I put it back in the box and brought it back to the store.

The way the mouse is sculpted, it forces the player to use the middle finger on the right mouse button, picking it up to operate the scroll wheel. Myself, I always rest my middle finger on the scroll wheel (for the button functionality, as well) while my ring finger operates the right mouse button.

Further, the hex button is a cool concept (I'm all about hexes as a battletech player), but you're shoe-horned into having them represent keyboard buttons 1-6, rather than simply having an additional six mouse buttons.

For the amount of money that it cost, I took it back, forked out an extra 40 bucks, and got myself the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 Instead. Sure, I miss a few buttons, but this is one heck of a sweet mouse. The reviews don't lie.

I've always been under the impression those Razer things lack durability.

I'm using a Roccat Kone(+) myself, and like it a lot. Good performance and fits my hand nicely.

I think the Naga and the various gamepads, such as Logitech's G-13 are great for it
