So if it comes down to local liguistics on how to properly say it plural, would it more matter inwhich what successor state you reside in? Reguardless the true root of the word is derived from Lyran.

While your post was quite reasonable, you're wrong about Atlantes. It's arguably the 'proper' plural but for the fact that we educated all these plebs but without teaching them the classical languages, so they don't know better than to add -s or -es as if it were some sort of English word. ;-)
