I have not had a chance to play yet, just got blue founder. Downloading and installing, but have looked over all the media, read a number of forum topics about the game, and it all looks great.
There is, however, one very important thing missing - and you should support it as more and more of us use it - and that is multi-monitor support!
It doesnt require much. Make sure the menu's lock to vertical resolution instead of horizontal, and to the central monitor. Correct FOV issues, and allow cockpit to span all 3 monitors. Relatively simple.
It would also behoove you to move a number of helmet hud elements to the actual mech display panels themselves.
And while, yes, I know this is still a beta, it makes more sense to have all the basic user interface elements done before worrying about other things. If we feel uncomfortable with the user interface we are unlikely to put much stock into testing the gameplay elements.
However, having said that, I am eagerly looking forward to my download finishing and giving this a go. Have been waiting years for mechwarrior online!
On a side note, you should allow us to use high resolution textures (the sort, for instance, you make your normal maps from) if our systems can handle it! Just as we should be able to remove the crappy HDR and film grain effects. It doesn't make the game look better, it just makes you seem lazy. Take a page from Cryptic. Every single graphical element that could make the game look better could be tweaked. From HDR to bloom to motion blur to AA. I am fairly certain market research will show you that most of the people likely to play this game are PC users, so designing with consoles in mind is pointless and inefficient.
