As some of you might know "No Guts No Galaxy" is currently having a programm running in which they try to make some of "The Unseen" reseen.

What do you guys think would it make sense for PGI to help out NGNG in their effort ?

Currently they are accepting donations for T-Shirts with artworks of the Warhammer on it.
I'm not here to make any kind of commercial/ advert for them.

I'm just curious to how you guys think about this and if you see a chance for a collaboration of PGI and NGNG in this matter.

How did I miss this? I love the Warhammer and quite a few of the unseen, then reseen, then unseen.... again? I think?

Would be nice to hear from PGI what's going on with them at the very least. They have the Warhammer in the trailer but no official announcement of it in the game. In addition I heard they received a cease and desist for it? Again, never saw anything official so no idea. Also, the video is still up so..... yeah.

As a long term player of both the TT and PC versions I have some fond memories of such 'unseens" as the original Warhammer, Rifleman, and the classic Marauder. The only issue I can see is if Harmony Golds lawyers take note and start threatening legal action concerning propriety designs etc, for example the cease & desist mentioned in Sabers post.

Then again the folks at Piranha and IGP have done an awesome job re-imagining some already classic designs from the Battletech/Mechwarrior stable and making them look way better than the original canons design - take the Catapult for example, I'd love to see the MWO version as a lead mini, not to mention the MWO Jenner. I guess we may stiil see some "unseens" as yet come from the devs, but with that MWO touch that may get around any Robotech issues.

I'll fill some things in.

they CAN use the reseen. They just have to change the details and the outline of the mech. Minimal 30-45% according to law. Enough an untrained eye can't tell they are the same mechs.

True, but I don't think there's been a statement from PGI if they are doing something like this or not. I've seen plenty of unseen posts but not a single dev's word on the subject. My fear is they can't say anything, which would be a very dire situation.

I may be in the minority but I am kind of glad they have not put any of the Unseen/reseen mechs in so far. it has been a pleasent surprise seeing some of the other IS mechs I have read about but have not seen in the PC games. note I did not have a computer when MW3 came out so I don't know which mechs were featured in that game.

I would like to eventually see one of the unseen that were originally based on one of the SDF Macross's Valkyrie designs (Stinger, Wasp, Valkyrie, etc.) except Piranha gets permission from Studio Nue (or who ever has the international rights) to base the designs on one from Macross 7 (w/o being one from Macross Plus) and/or Macross Frontier: for no other reason than to give the middle finger to Harmony Gold.

And yes I know: the Spider already does what most of these mechs do but better.
