After seeing some of the wonderful renditions of some 'Mechs on the forums, I decided I'd try my hand at it. I've been an artist for years, but I'm mostly a character artist, although I have drawn military aircraft before, so I figured the transition might be possible for me.

So this is my first 'Mech that I've done, there will be more. This is one of my favorite assault 'Mechs,

The Supernova.

Couple of things I wanted to do was make it look more like a war machine. Given the intense heat generated by six ER Large Beam Lasers, I wanted it to look like it had a good amount of airflow to it, hence the intakes on the side of the cockpit, and slits in the arms for air to reach the barrels. I borrowed bits I liked off various other Supernovas for some parts, but mostly just gave it my own little flair by free handing components in my paint program. Shading might be a little off, it's hard to visualize sometimes, but it looks OK to me, granted it is 3am!

Thanks to my fellow Wolf Clan/1st Tamar Legionnaire members for feedback and support as well.

Let me know what you guys think! If you have suggestions for 'Mechs you'd like to see me do a rendition of, feel free to suggest!

Next 'Mech on my list however has been suggested by my fellow Wolf Clanner and good friend Outlaw, the Marauder MAD-9S

Looks great! I'd like to add the Templar to your list of suggested mechs.

Wll done. I liked the Supernova a ton in MW3, then the 3058 TRO came and Duane Loose over-bloated the torso to hideous dimensions. And of course, the mini followed his art, not the game art. You proportions are MUCH more pleasing to the eye.

Templar would be an interesting one to do. I'm usually not a fan of humanoid walker designs, though some are an exception (it's just a matter of personal taste).

Other 'Mechs I am considering are the Cauldron Born, Black Hawk (little brother of the Supernova), and maybe the Shadowcat as it's one of my favorites.

I've always been a huge fan of the Wraith, any chance I could get you interested in that ?

The Wraith certainly has a unique aspect to it, I think I can take on the challenge at some point.

Glad you guys are liking the Supernova! The MAD-9S is about 45% done, I've completed the upper torso and the shoulder joints. I'll post it either tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow night probably, barring anything else going on. Note that my Marauder is based on the Phoenix reseen version, not the unseen Marauder that everyone knows. I ask that if you are a fan of the original Marauder design, please keep negative comments to a minimum. Constructive criticism however is welcome and appreciated!
