Hey guys I was wondering about how a battle on a planet should happen. A planet is a pretty big space to fight for control. If there are only 1 map per planet, it would be a little unrealistic. Of course, it is a nightmare to make more than 1 map for each planet and is completely tough for the developers.

Games like the Star Wars Battlefront series have done a 1 map per planet model that gets incredibly repetitive after awhile. [ And of course you can choose to fight on another planet that your house is currently involve in]

What do you guys think?

I would think that they would only make maps for a few specific types of planets:

Terra-Like: Forest Colony, and at least 4 other maps based on a terra-like planet. (No. of maps increase over time)

Desert: At least 5 diff Desert Maps at Launch (After Open Beta ends).

Volcanic: Caustic Valley, and 4 others at Launch.

Icy: Frozen City, and 4 others at Launch.

Personally, I think having four different types of planets to fight over, each giving different bonuses to a faction, will be plenty at launch. They can add more over time, and since there are at least five maps for each planet, it'll seem like it's fresh with each new battle.

So many strangers to fasanomics, some planets can effectively be conquered by 3 lights and a heavy (Trellwan).

Lets not forget they have different game modes. Besides Assault, there was one regarding dropships which you would have 4 mechs to play with [ 3 for respawn]. Those maps have to be bigger. Hence, I guess each planet would have different game modes incorporated across different maps?

I'm much more curious about how it will be handled to use the galaxy map... ^^

can you chose a specific planet where you want to attack? or is that only possible for houses or mercs?

question about question... ^^

Agreed. Some; but not all. [ Planet sizes varies and points of interest are different]
