Well...two reasons for me...

1) The FRR should not out number one of the big Houses...So I jumped ship from the FRR.

2) Community Warfare...meaning Faction fighting faction. Still no details on how this will work. Speculation on my part, but if there is a queue, and the "Matchmaker" is looking to match up two opposing factions. I'll go with the low population one, rather than the overloaded one. Meaning there are 12 House Liao warriors in the queue and 76 House Davion....Who do you think is dropping into matches quicker?

That's not even going into the chance folks may be able to select which faction they want to attack (at a later date).

House Liao...We are in demand (as targets). Mostly becasue nobody likes us.

I don't care who you are, or whether or not you like House Liao or the St. Ives Compact or WHOEVER. The Cossack 'Mech is trash. Its short-range loadout is completely defeated by the fact that it doesn't have the armor to get in to use it.

But seriously, i never ever understand why ppl like Lyrans - it's simply boring to play pre-destined good guys. I can even understand Davions, they are even more good (except all these wars, but nowadays warmongering has good PR, ofc DAVION warmongering only) and, as you said, a lot more succesful. The Lyrans are just sidekicks
