I Can't see any clan mech news or release plan.
If they have clan mechs design right, it's hard to believe there is no single mech of clan for founder.
(timber wolf,shadowcat,vulture etc...)
This part make me hesitate pay for founder's pack...
Anyone know about this with reliable source?

Anything clan-related is pretty much almost entirely speculation at this point.

That said, the game is a whole lot of fun even in its current state, and I don't regret buying founders' at all like I kind of thought I might.

Clans don't yet "exist" in the current timeline, they arrive in the Inner Sphere somewhere around next year.

Shadowcat is even further away into the future.

1 Day in real life = 1 day in the BT-universe.

So no, founders won't get a clanmech. Maybe you can buy them next year, who knows.

Right now, we're at August 6, 3049. The Clans only arrive in force in 3050. Patience. Read the stickies.

The devs had made no definative comments on the Clans at all. Some people are noting that the Founders pack offical release date is 7 Aug and the current timeline would make the year 3049 which is the date of the first encounter with the Clans on the far edge of the Periphery.

Actually if you think about it , it will be 1 day in Rl = 1 day in BT universe until they want to introduce something or fast forward the time line , because if they didn't then players will have to wait years and years and possibly have there bus passes or even died of old age waiting for a mech :) , as the BT universe spans hundreds of years .

so Atm they are starting with 1 day = 1 day in BT universe but in reality i don't think its realistic to expect this will be 100% true after the first 6-8 months or maybe a year .

I think the shadowcat if true to the time line is around 2 years away , but I have a feeling most clan mechs will be available at the same time if and when they appear . hopefully the scat is around sooner than later :)

I have a feeling you might have to save your c-bills for a long time to afford a clan mech anyway so probably its a good thing we have to wait for them :D

So happy the clans aren't there yet. Everyone would run around in a Timberwolf. Hope it will be a premium mech that you buy for 40 euro, so not everyone will run around with it. :>

MechWarrior Online (by indication of the ISN News releases) is following an offset time line with a 1:1 progression rate.
That is, "August 06, 2012" in reality corresponds to "August 06, 3049" in-game. Likewise, "August 07, 2012" in reality will correspond to "August 07, 3049" in-game, "August 08, 2012" in reality will correspond to "August 08, 3049" in-game, and so on and so forth.

The Clans, in the BattleTech/MechWarrior canon, arrive in the Periphery (the area of space immediately outside of the Inner Sphere proper) in August of 3049 (corresponding to August of 2012). The Clans, in the BattleTech/MechWarrior canon, do not arrive in the Inner Sphere proper until March of 3050 (corresponding to March of 2013).
So, it is unlikely that the Clans and their 'Mechs will be available until around next March (at the earliest).

As for concrete and reliable sources:

From Bryan Ekman, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Piranha Games:

Since Clans are Factions, and not player run (at launch), this would fall under the Faction Unit rules.

Players can earn the privilege to be a member by earning loyalty points and performing certain feats/actions.

I think we would need to be brain dead to not want to sell Mad Cats to players. We have design and balance issues to figure out but we will get it sorted so players can play as the clans.

I don't think they'll be that much more expensive and I'm not sure how un-balancing they'll be especially when you consider that inner sphere mechs can logically carry clan weaponry.

They've announced that the Clans will be playable so it'll be interesting to see how they handle that.

At the moment, all Clan Omni-mechs use Omni weapon pods. Weapon pod technology is something alien to Innersphere techs at this time line. The BJ-2O fluff clearly explains that only specialized software can interface with Clan Tech weapon pods. So it is not too far stretch that you need similar software for the Clan tech weapon to work on your old Mech.

http://users.anet.co...8/om-bjack.html

But yes, you have read novels like how Archer Christifori sports a Clan tech Penetrator or Marcus GioAvanti with his Caesar carrying a Clan Gauss rifle and a Clan ERPPC, but they have got techs who are pretty damn familiar working with Clan technologies. And that is years after fighting the Clans.

But at this time line. No way.
