sure...
if they come with the chance of critical internal explosions for the user resulting in the pilot being roasted alive.

have to agree with 2ane. there has to be a penalty for carrying them, if the ammo storage is hit. even with CASE, later in the game, there should still be a risk of overheat, should the ammo be exploded. it's a flammable gel that's not exactly going to instantaneously evaporate, if the storage is breached, after all.
