[Chairman Meow]

For some reason I remember that when I bought the founders pack, that it said something in the lines of early access / pre-launch headstart.

Now it says that the founders pack content will be delivered at the August 7th.

Was that changed or is my memory failing me?

Cause I could have sworn it sounded like the beta would end today, founders would get a headstart tomorrow and the game would launch a short while later?

Well Chairman Mrow. That has not been changed. There will be patching tomorrow and resets will happen. The game will launch offically for everyone on the 14th. Why do you believe this has been changed?

Knowing how other game delays worked it made me worried that it says "content will be delivered at august 7th" made it sound like it would just be the content, not the end closed beta test / resets (using cbt in these forums feels weird )

I remember before they pushed it back it was sometime in July that founders would get access. Maybe that's where the 14 comes from?

Well, I also remember August 14th for some reason which is why I was confused about the whole phrasing on the founders page.

So what I thought till today was
August 7th - closed beta ends, wipe, founders get access and their founders stuff.
August 14th - open beta starts and everyone gets access - probably premium and irl currency store available.

Now I am kinda unsure if this will be an open beta like so many other games that just changes to final at some point or if there will be another wipe in between.

Guess I'll read through all the announcements about it again.

Headstart was supposed to be 1 week before the game dropped. Given how long the beta has gone and how many people are a part of it. They may have decided to skip the open beta entirely and launch on schedule. If the schedule has changed i do not know about it.

No... July 14th was supposed to be the start of operation inception (founders get in) but it was pushed back to August 7th.

Wow this thread is full of misinformation.

Founders are already all in the closed beta. Tomorrow, founders privileges begin, but the game is still closed beta. Periodic wipes and founder resets will still occur. Open beta is still a ways away.

It is unlikely anything beyond a new patch will be released on the 14th. I hope others don't get their hopes up.

Now I'm completely confused.
So it actually just means that tomorrow the founder's mechs will be available and everything will go on as is?

Seems kinda strange since all founders get instant access for over a week now.

Guess we'll see tomorrow.

Just don't feel like playing through wipes anymore, ruined so many other games for me when they were actually released.

We do NOT have any date on open beta or even launch yet. Nothing at all.

Can't find a quote yet, but I'm absolutely sure it was said that there would be a wipe at the end of open beta/release of the game and all Founder's assets will be reset too, so founder's lose nothing.

I'd prefer the release to be pushed back till the conquest campaign is finished anyhow.

Let me rephrase that for absolute certainty:
Founders lose nothing of the things they paid for, their in game currency and premium months will be reset. However they don't get to keep any progress in the game.

Hate to say it, but closed beta is the time for wipes. If you don't want to play through wipes, you'll have to wait until open beta.

That's what I thought.

Open Beta has a "by Summer 2012" deadline put on it by PGI, but no official date. Close Beta 2 could be running for about 6 weeks before Open Beta rolls around.

Do not believe this post. No such information has ever been given out about the games launch date. That is not known. What is known is that Founders access to the Beta is fully implemented ahead of the Aug 7th date and that the actual start of no-reset founders access has been pushed back a few weeks. That was confirmed in a QA iirc.

Tell me guys where do you get your information about the 14th being open beta?
If you are referring to the post made in the general forums about it being Open Beta on the 14th, because that was a false statement and the thread has since been deleted.
There is NO information on open beta date yet.
