Fun fact, I actually can barely play deadspace because it creeps me out so bad. I legitimately get paranoid playing it. Need to actually get around to BUYING it instead of just renting though.

Funny, I did not find the first one to be scary at all. Actually I got halfway through it and then got bored. A lot of good ideas in that game though.
Is DA2 as good as the first one?

I think this thread should be edited to say "Except for MechWarrior of course!" but that's just me ;).

In any case, here's my top however many I feel like putting this early in the morning. Coffee, yes.

Chrono Trigger
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Shadowrun (Sega Genesis version)
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale
Metal Gear Solid Series
Metroid Prime Series

I...think that about wraps it up really. There are probably more, but it's early. Maybe Disgaea or something. Not a whole lot of RPGs in these lists, I felt I had to represent a little. Word. Tofu out.

Wait. I -am- tired. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. End of list.

I've yet to see a game that generates atmosphere like the STALKER series does.

I wonder that no one mentioned Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition and Witcher 2 yet. Especially 2nd one is IMHO the most mature single player RPG available. The atmosphere is barely competed.

Dragonage 2 has leaps and bounds better gameplay, but the choices they made with some of the characterization of your teammates pissed some people off. I still loved it just as much as the first one.

And deadspace is *just* my kind of horror. I'm very nervous and jumpy and sensitive to sound so every time I heard something clang from a vent, the lights would flicker, or I'd think I saw something move, I'd freeze. It's like Silent Hill in spaaaaaace.

I searched for favourite but no game topic came within the first some pages.

So what is/are your favourite video games, evarz?

As in every topic that I start, only very serious discussion here please, so no Barbie Beauty Botique ok?

By the way I do not really care, but I am bored...

No I am joking, I do care.

Why? Because maybe, just maybe, people find that they have lots in common, and they then become lovers or UrbanFriends® (much better than plain friends).

My favorite games are, Armored Core, All MW's, Steele Battalion (love that stick!) Chrome Hounds (Waa!- server died, no longer available) Front Mission Evolved (which apparently I was the one the few people who bought it, after two weeks, the other three stopped playing) I tried Transformers, ( can't remember which one, but it doesn't make a difference, it was filled with rage quitting toddlers that got upset, because they weren't Optimus Prime ) Can you see a trend? I love all super mega giant fighting robot games, oh yeah, and Zombies, love killin' zombies, hordes of zombies, neighbor zombies, special infected zombies, and especially, everyone's all-time favorite, Nazi-Zombies!

I'm actually concepting it but it will take a lot of time

A mix of battletech-like construction rules, Jagged Alliance-like characters, gritty WWI atmosphere and as much sand-box as possible.

I can dream off a new game, right, I don't need to pick something old?

I'd like to see a new X-Wing vs TIE Fighter game. Concept:

1) Take the missions from X-Wing, TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance.
2) Take the mechanics from back then (energy manamgent, damage, weapon firing modes and all that sh*t).
3) Take the best current graphics engine we have (and still runs on whatever PC I'll have when it comes out).

If you need new mechanics, make it a mix of career/rpg mechanics

1) You have a rank and advance it over time. The rank will lead you to move from lowly wingemn fresh from the Flight Academy to Squadron Commander and eventually even put you in a Strategic Role where you help prepare a mission and can give orders to other squadrons and even battleships during combat.
2) You gain XP to improve specialities like "Bomber" "Interceptor" "Superiority", giving yourself boosts in different areas. (For example, as Bomber pilot you can increase the damage you inflict with rockets, bombs and torpedoes, or increase the damage against capital ships and stations, as Interceptor pilot you improve your ship maneuverability and speed, and inflict increased damage against fighters and with lasers and missiles, as Superiority you reduce damage you take from enemy attacks and boost shield and damage repair speed.
3) Your rank, experience and achievements eventually allow you to "mod" your ship with some benefits. (for example, improved weapons, better engines and the like).

I figure Starwars Galaxies "Jump to LIght Speed" may have some ideas here, but I've never played SWG.

Favorite games other than Mechwarrior, in no particular order...

Descent trilogy. (tied for favorite with MW2 Mercs)

Star Wars: X-wing.

Portal.

Team fortress 2.

Armadillo Run.

Minecraft.

My dream game though, would be the finance management of MW2 Mercs, the 6DOF gameplay of Descent, all combined with a fully destructible environment :D
