Hey guys, back in the day I had my windows login sound set to sound like a mech starting up. Thanks to the good folks on the MW:LL forums I figured it out again. (This is the process for Windows 7 or Vista, tested on SP3)

If you'd like to have this work for you,

1. Go to http://forum.mechliv...p?topic=17021.0

2. Download 1 or both files under the 1st post (courtesy of Ancient Demise of Clan Ghost Bear)

3. Once you have them downloaded, save them to a file somewhere other than the downloads folder.

4. Open your control panel and go to "Hardware and Sound".

5. Click "change system sounds" under the "Sound" heading.

6. On the sounds tab, which should be the default tab, scroll down the drop down list until you find "WindowsLogoff" and "WindowsLogon".

7. Click whichever one you want to install first and click browse. Find where you saved your sound files and select them.

8. Giggle maniacally listening to your 50-ton death machine powering on and off.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Oh, this looks good. I'll probably do some sound editing on the clips to enhance them for my computer. Thanks for the share. :D

Yeah, changed it a few days ago, too. Although I put the "Shutting down" as the sound for login my user off and "Shutdown Sequence initiated" for turning the computer off.

The sound files are linked in the post the OP has linked to. Well, the two important ones.

For all the MW2 sounds go here.
