I fully concede the point that we, the community, are fairly nuts, let's think about this. These guys chose to be game developers. They weren't forced into it, no one brainwashed them into being devs, they picked it under their own volition. That automatically qualifies them as crazier than we are.

Omg!!! Ok this is HUGE!

Spioler alert time...

Night Missions?! Hell yes
Hula Girl phyzics: Confrimed
The Panther
Highly Developed in-depth voice computer MW2 style (YUSSS!)
Autocannons do have heat ----> Rigorous Heat Scale
LOTS of tree's/plants for cover (look at the top right behind the Panther)
In-depth salvage system!!!
Panther seems to have suffered an internal ammo 'splosion (shoulda brought a case)
Focus on Simulation over action (First Person Only, limited ammo, lack of super precise aim)

This game is looking off the hooks!!! I cannot wait for some more screenies!!! We gatta update the general FAQ now that we've gotten to confirm so much information now!

I, personally, have never met a sane developer... so it is unlikely that any suggestion has arisen that is more nuts than the ones they are already working with.

Alright....

Not to throw a wet blanket on this awesome in-game footage but, I'm a little concerned with the damage modeling considering the load-out the player is dealing a critical hit with.... looks suspiciously over-modeled.

Also looking that the bogey Mech (Not convinced that's a panther... maybe a Phoenix hawk?) Clearly they've completely ignored basic kinesiology and physics and have chosen to forgo fundamental immersion factors.

Lastly, they obviously have no desire to even consider environmental conditions as this clearly is a dead planet with no atmosphere and they were so lax in QA that they allowed a plant (the bushy things) to exist in the vacuum of space....

I tell ya... this is turning into a arcade shooter right in front of our eyes!

Coach runs and hides.... :)

hopefully they do roll their eyes at least once, as it shows the creativity of the people if the devs look at the ideas and chuckle.

Yep. Where else but here could I honestly say that I'd happily BUY a downloadable hula girl?

Dude so would I! Seriously, I'd happily pay $1.99 for it, (which is what a Killing floor skin pack cost.) or even $5, but then I would start to hate myself and probably end up in counseling for video game addiction.

Yeah unless they don't live up to everyone's expectations - then the backlash would be of biblical proportions. I give them a lot of props for courage to make a game like this. That being said - I've been the start of a lot of crazy over the top suggestions - and I know at least some of the boardmembers have already gotten a chuckle (I'm looking at you Alaskan Viking :) ). It's just fun to be able to interact with something fond from when I was young, with people who enjoy it too.

I can only imagine the angry mob of diselusioned Battletech fans marching up to Canada, then the south western guys start to drop and use their torches for heat...
