Yes Mason his name was Quasimodo but he was "of ND" - in medieval times that was often all non nobles had as a surname, name of a town, church etc.
Now if it was a Swayback - then you could call it Quasi

Isn't that what a decal system is for? Put it on your personal decal. I read somewhere there would be support for this in the game.

In the mech lab video the dev doing it shows him naming his newly bought mech, but I haven't seen it do-able in game yet.
Personally I think that in-game, when you lock onto an enemy, it displays the mech name rather than the pilots handle.
Help keep some mystery in the game of who you just pummeled with 40 LRM's.
And then if you want to know about the mech/pilot who just downed you, you'll have to ask in chat therefore starting a conversation, which will
hopefully bring a boost to the community.

Twitchy Witch, Tymora's Kiss, Balilaika, Magdelena, or Kyrie. Those would be the ones I would use depending on the Mech and my mood.
