Pffffft. We don't need no fancy graphics or mod-you-liar systems to tell what weapons a mech has. Just walk up real close and stand still for a second or two. When they all start coming at you it'll be obvious :D

I don't think this is a negotiable point. Mechwarrior: Living Legends can do it, and it's just a mod running CryEngine2.

I expect to be able to distinguish a mech's armament based on its in-game appearance.

I am all for this weapons visualization stuff on the individual Mechs...as long as it does not result in severe lag/latency issues during matches.

Loadouts should be visible. Now recognizable at what range, I can't tell you.

The thing that isn't mentioned when people say this is that there is no MechLab (yet) in MWLL, so they don't dynamically update the mech model as someone changes that mech's loadout. They have static models for each variant.

We don't know what the mechlab (if there is one) will look like for MWO. So the need for it to be dynamic vs static variants is still unknown.
