I've noticed a lot of people have been asking questions on the forums about the game.

I think one guy said it better than anyone. If someone asks if the game is good... why do you think a lot of us upgraded comps , furniture , bought our wives things , bought founders packs before even playing the game?

Just want to say Thank You Piranha. Some of us have been waiting 10 years for this ;)

Well said.

On a side note though, I found it easier to just get rid of the wife and spend that money on more MC and better computer.

I found it easier to just get rid of the wife

While it was not easier, it was more to my liking to find a wife that didn't question my spending.

I just make sure my wife knows when I support her purchases....

$300 for those new work shoes even though you bought 2 pair this year already?.. "Just be really sure you want these pair.. I fully support your decision to buy these if it's going to make your life better.. but just be sure".. hehe.. just do stuff like that.. make it clear she knows you are supportive..

Then when it comes time for you to let her know about the $120 legendary package, it won't hurt so much :)

OMG and Holy crap!!! I never thought I would get to sit in another pilot seat for a mech again!
I tried to patch, alter and continually mess with the old game to hang on for as long as I could years ago, then just finally gave up. I found that you have to be a cpu genius (which I definitely am not) to keep up with everyone that was playing, and I didn't have the time or patience to do all that. I just wanted to jump in the cockpit, get some of the clan together, and go destroy. Which I could not do,because everytime I got on,everyone was already playing the next updated version that required what seemed like hours of effort to patch in. So,gave it up years ago.
But for some reason today,I decided to type the magical word "mechwarrior" in. I was shocked to see the words "mechwarrior" and "release date" in the same sentence together! I was here in a heartbeat watching vids and reading updates.Very happy and anxious about what I see.
Kinda sad my callsign (was Stop) was taken already. It was very unique back then, team mates use to give me grief over it even. During battle, everyone would stop when a team leader would sound my callsign, lol. Fun stuff. Oh well, such is life.
Well, now that I know, there's no stoppin me!!!...Oh,wait...that's right. Lack of money will stop me. Ok,so AFTER payday, there's no stoppin me!!! So,greetings to all and hope to see you soon out there!

I am kinda lovin' the whole MWO vibe going on as anticipation build for the launch. Looking forward to some mech loving and hoping it doesn't turn into CounterStrike with Mechs. ("Boom Headshot" wait for spawn). Generally do single player games, but couldn't resist getting back in the cockpit again.

Because the world is full of desperate fanboys? The act of investing into the game before one even gets a chance to play only means guys are full of optimisim for something they've been emotionally vested in for 10yrs.

Dont get me wrong, I want it to be good, but there is a lot to be seen regarding this game living up to its potential. Lets see how it grows 6 months, 1 yr after release.
