Tonight, in Scotland, it is Burns night.

This is not an evening of arson.

But an evening where we celebrate our national poet with haggis, scotch and lots of scottishness. I have just put my haggis on to steam, I'm eyeing up the bottle of 15yr old whisky, and whilst I draw the line at the poetry (I don't have the accent for it, sadly) I do intend on filling my belly with good food and my brain with fine malt.

It is worth noting that, having been a victim of the Scottish educational system, never mind the fact that I lived in the town where Mr Robert Burns was born, I have had clean enough of the man. He was a dirty berty for sure, and that's interesting enough...but it doesn't half get drilled into you so much so as to make you sick.

That said, Tam O'Shanter is still a cracking yarn.

So I wish everyone here a good night, and I hope it's going to be as fun for you as it is for us over here.

Also, the next reveal in a little under an hour just makes this Burns night even more interesting...

Just send me a bottle of Glenmorangie (10 year single malt will do) and I shall attempt to understand all the stuff you wrote after "Tonight, in Scotland...."
