Atlas is 100 tons, Gauss Rifle, 20 LRMs, 2 Large lasers,

Dire Wolf prime (other config' are only at Clan Smoke Jaguar): 100 tons, 4 Large lasers, 4 Medium lasers, 2 AC/5.
For same weight Dire Wolf have double armor than Atlas, better targeted, excellent cooler and Alpha Strike capacity.

If you want to die front a Dire Wolf, take an Atlas, yes.

If I was Davion mechwarrior, the Atlas AS7-K would be my choice (of course, I would have captured this from a Sword of Light mechwarrior who now sits dispossessed). If I was a Wolf Clan mechwarrior, a Daishi A would be my choice (given the plain fact that a Smoke Jaguar is inferior to me and should not be allowed to pilot such a worthy omnimech).

Did you play MW4? It's painfully simple to CT a Dire Wolf in that game. I very quickly stopped piloting them. Not that I play assault much anyway...

EDIT: Actually, the Atlas kinda had a similar problem. You could hit it in the head or pelvis from anywhere (even from behind) and the damage went CT... It was better than the Dire Wolf though, because twisting could cover both. Unless you were above it, then you just keep shooting its skull until it explodes.

Did YOU ever play MW4? Or even read past "the PERFECT spot"?

People keep saying the Daishi looks cooler. To me it's always looked like an ugly lump on legs. Atlas looks way cooler as far as Im concerned! Not as cool as the Kodiak but.. Still pretty damn cool.

Witch mech would you like? A Atlas or a Daishi?

Why should a House Davion pilot care? How often do they get to pilot a Daishi :_P

Mechs are not for looks but for battle. until clan invaders come. Im keeping to the atles. But if you can get it, I will get the daishi. you can get a daishi armor up and still have tons of weapons

Of the two.. Dashi.

Of any 100t mech, I'd choose Archangel, because I <3 PPC's

Because my fists look so nice in your cockpit.

Yep

Atlas when on parade duty because it looks "better" imo.
Dire Wolf (Daishi) in a fight because it IS better.

Again whatever..

Well, the daishi (like most clan tech... :/ ) is an altogether superior machine.

Daishi, 3 LBX 20 AC and 2 LBX 10 AC for a combined total of 1 LBX 80 AC, can you feel the love now? No? Thats because you are smouldering heap of scrap metal.

Gotta go with the Daishi!

LOL.

I'd settle for an Atlas though.

Yea if I had to choose between the two I would go with the Daishi because it can waste an opponent quickly and I can modify it to fit any weapons I want.

That being said for early era assaults I would always choose a victor.

I was always a Dire Wolf/Daishi fan. It was my mech of choice in MW4.

And Birdeater, I believe Daishi meant Great Death or something similar.

An AS7-S2, with ECM, can place one of his fists on your Daishi's rear anytime, without any warning

I'd have to go with the Daishi, it's different variants suit my play style even in its Primary.

Daishi

Just as much tonnage as the Atlas, but smaller and less retarded looking.

EDIT: @Visionofthegods, yes it means "Great Death" though the MW4 user manual says it means "Back Breaker" for no good reason.

Atlas, now and always!

Though, as others have said, Templar is pretty awesome once it gets released ;)

In a Daishi:
If you put specific heavy damage weapons in the right spot and use precise aim you can down an atlas in 2-3 hits to the core.

So my vote is for a Daishi because of the type of weapons you can fit on it.

In WM4 i always outfitted my Daishi with PPC's and Gauss rifles plus some light lasers for supporting purposes.
