The Centurion looks awesome a Mech for sure that i want to pilot along with the Enforcer as i fight for the Federated Suns

I've never been a big Centurion fan, but this...this...*sniffs*...IT'S BEAUTIFUL!

It actually looks like an ancient roman warrior with a gun for an arm. There's a shield-ish part on the left arm, there's a little crest on the helmet, and the head/cockpit looks Roman/Greek. It's also interesting how they put a lot of emphasis on the left shoulder. It makes the Centurion look like a gladiator...Solaris VII arena reference???

I still stand by my hatred for this rendition of the Centurion, but as far as the loadout capabilities of the Centurion variants available in 3049, I was able to spec out a decent LBX10 / SRM6 and 2 ML loadout that could go 97K and has 100% heat efficiency.

Can't scoff at that. The chassis has good potential for the Medium weight class.

You know it i thought that picture of the Centurion looked the best of all the other ones i found on deviantart.

I'm sorry, but leave the OLD Battletech to wither and die. This doesn't look "anime", this looks functional, yet stylized.

****'s not always built by the lowest bidder in the Battletech universe, so there's no reason our awesome machines of destruction should look like they were made out of LEGOs (and yes, I'm aware that people HAVE built 'mechs out of LEGOs, and yes, they actually do look awesome).

Thing is, these are all just subjective views.

Personally, I agree with you that the BattleTech designs need to stay where they are and not be implemented, but on the other hand, the new design of the Centurion is VERY VERY like a Gundam, and breaks HEAVILY from the style of every other Mech redesigned in MWO so far to date. Whereas these other Mechs have a thick, powerful geometric look to them, the Centurion has an almost perfect humanoid look, making it seem like a living being rather than a war machine.

But that too, is just another subjective opinion...

I for one love the newer look of the Centurion as well as the new looks for all the Mech in MWO. One thing can be said for all of them is that every mech shown so far has been updated in some way to look different from its classic look. Some more than others but thats not a bad thing. I love that the DEVS are not making every mech a 100% reproduction of what we have gotten in the past. Its a fresh new game so why not make everything fresh and new? The one thing I am going to really laugh at is when we do finally get the clans and all the complaining that is going to come when everyone sees how the clan mech may have been updated. I for one really do hope that Mech like the (Adder) Puma, (Fire Moth) Dasher, (Kit Fox) Uller, (Executioner) Gladiator and so many more do get changes to freshen up the designs. Now those like the (Mad Dog) Vulture, (Timberwolf) Mad Cat, (Nova) Black Hawk and (Summoner) Thor stay the same for the most part with only minor fresh changes.

I can't wait to see what FlyingDebris does with the Clan 'mech, either. I hope they have a certain style to them so you can clearly tell what 'mechs are IS and which are Clan even if you've never heard of Battletech before.

Love the new Cent so hard. Im not a huge fan of some of the artwork for the older mechs, and this was one. the MekTek reimaging for MW4 was decent, but this just looks awesome

And I see where people are saying its too humanoid and Gundam-like. But the Centurion was always traditionally more humanoid than other mechs.

I'm excited to see first videos and ingame screenshots of the Centurion. It will certainly be very interesting to see this thing moving.
