If there's 20 mechs in the game, you know they're all gonna run about/look about the same from the inside. Quite a few MW4 Mechs are litereally small tweaks on another chassis. Do we want MechPr0n or do we want our simulated dreams? Quantity isn't Quaility. Mechs controls should be so different that you'll spend a month "Mastering" one before trying another. That's what I hope.
I agree. I spent the better part of my MechWarrior 2: mercenaries career customising and shaping my Crab into that 'special something' to which I grew to love and cherish above all other 'mechs and it became so a part of me that whenever it got so badly beat up and I had no choice but to eject from it, I spent a period of mourning its passing instead of taking the easy way out and reloading from a saved game, before moving on and breaking in a new 'mech. No matter what I did with a new Crab 'mech, all of the customising, learning the controls etc it just was never the same as my old beloved Crab to which I spent so long with. Kind of like your first car. All of the little chinks and scraps, the damaged heat sinks or faulty radar; the scorch marks in the armour - all of it can never be replicated exactly and that is what gives your 'mech its personality. There can never be one you adore as much afterwards.
Quality, not quantity.
... I miss my cherished Tarase
