I think it would be very interesting to have an active players market to buy/sell with other players instead of npc's. also allowing for contracts and such. that way the players run the marke but still having certain items seeded by the devs.also allowing for blueprints and creation of items allowing players to make another income if money will be involved(if its anything like the rest it will). just a suggestion, but would be a fine one indeed.

Sorry, Prophet, this isn't going to be a MMORPG, and the economy will be wrapped up in an interface that is, I'm sure, going to be similar to, but far more robust than, MW4: Mercs. A LOT of people have dreams of seeing a full MMORPG, but that's not in the cards for this expanded simulator, to the best of my knowledge.

Yeah, you'd have to code in a working gathering system for different material types, then a working crafting system for different technologies, then a working auction hall for people to buy, sell, and trade things. Oh and it needs to be balanced as well.

I don't think its fair to look at this as an MMORPG feature only, but it certainly would change the dynamic, of say, how combat salvage works for example if that is a mechanic of the game currently.

Please don't make me mine in this game too. I do that enough in World of Warcraft.

Yeah, not a market proponent. These are military units, not traders...

ROFL. Even a salvage mechanic is still mining when you calculate how many 'x' combat missions do i have to run in order to average 'y' amounts of salvage etc.

Truth is we dont know, but what about Merc units taking contracts , from who? and then the Salvage thing,

I want to buy a dropship and rent out my services.
and your designated driver, the always sober Finn ; free steak meals for those who make the ride home.

Its a cruel universe out there. and the steaks are rare.
