@Matt and/or PGI
Can you comment on CryEngine Cloud and how MWO may or may not benefit from this technology?
Thank you =)

Can we get a quick clarification on what time it starts please? The front-page banner says 2PM PST, where as in-topic is says 5PM Eastern/2PM Pacific.

Right now (during Daylight Savings Time) PST != Pacific Time, as Pacific Time is currently PDT. PST is 1 hour behind PDT, thus the front-page banner is stating that the chat will begin at 3PM PDT, while in-topic the time is listed as 2PM PDT. Some clarification would be nice, don't want to be off by an hour.

"Defining the technological strategy with the development team for the project, pipeline, tools, development procedures and processes. Assessing technical risk and mitigation planning. Scouting for and evaluating new technology and tools."

So essentially...

He sits around drawing lots of strange looking charts, which only he can understand and telling people what to do.

Sounds like a good job. :)

Haha.. just kidding of course! ;)

if you were to impliment the King Crab in the game, is there any potential technical issues you could see involving it's standard loadout that may cause issues with the game's core design as per what you are aware of? now obvously it's not apart of your job description persay, but as a potential gamer yourself, what are your thaughts of the viability of such a mech in the game as it stands right now? excluding any highly sensitive or classafied information involving beta that is currently in progress as of right now compared to where you would like to see the game when it actualy launches?

I would like to give a congrats to Garth after PGI finally let him out from his cage today.

Seven posts on the forums today, which is as many as he made in the week prior to that!

And his post got a like by the elusive Kyle Polulak

Since this is public, the NDA is in force, which sharply limits the questions we can ask.

Is there a chance we can get some kind of back-and-forth with the Beta community, so we can answer questions which arise from that experience?

somebody had a question about the King Crab mech and its viability with its standard loadout, and for some reason it wont let me quote him.

my question is:
why would 2 ac/20's, an LRM15 and a large laser cause any complications gameplay wise? all of those weapons are in game already, are they not? if not the LRM 15, then replace it with a 10 or 20. I am aware of the difference in tonnage and damage between an lrm10 or 20 versus the 15. but otherwise, what would be the problem?

there is nothing about the King Crab that should present any more of a problem than any other mech, as far as its standard loadout. none that I can see.

im not trying to flame, im just pointing out that this should present no great problem.
