So I was looking at the arm of the Centurion and reading the Post about head shots and I was thinking... Do you think they will include the ability to block shots with your arms? If you could extend you arm over your cockpit you may not have sight of your target but at least you can stop that AC-20 from shredding you. Pretty sure that is not what they intended when making the Centurion but it would be a pretty cool game mechanic no?

There are a lot of advantages that a humanoid mech could have over boat types, but technology doesn't allow it yet. Imagine in some FPS games where you can hide behind cover and lean over with just your head and weapon to shoot at something. Or if the Centurion crouches and uses the shield arm to block half his torso while shooting the AC/10. Or even just allow it to reposition the arm over its chest while running forward.
If humanoid mechs could do any of these then the benefits and intent of their structure would be clearly seen. Perhaps it's possible if they allow a mode where you aim your arm weapon(s) like it were a primary gun in an FPS. It's also possible to add a command to order an arm (your choice) to block the torso to take some hits.

Would be easer to torso twist away from the fire of an enemy, that way it would present the entire left arm which has lots of ways to block rounds and lets you atleast see a little.
So no. not neccisary.

Yeah but then we would not get a specific Cockpit blocking button AKA ****-Block Button
