Hi all. Before any of you comment on anything, hear me out first. I just created this account and this is my first time hearing about such a game and yes, for those wondering.. I have ZERO knowledge about this game.. As the title says, is this some [REDACTED] pay 2 win game? i need to ask that question as for i was shocked that i need to pay the founders package in order to play the game? my friend referred me to this game.. based from what he said, that this is a MMO game.. and yes, i have experience with MMO games before(World of Tanks).. and he got the founders package.. don't know which though.. now, ill repeat the question again.. is this some pay 2 win game? what are the mechs here? I'm sorry if i refer another game here but, is the game something like World of Tanks?? tech trees, up-gradable paths etc... so that's it for my question.. the game looks fun based from what I've seen from YouTube.. But I'm not risking it if game turns out to be another pay 2 win system..

Convince me enough, i might be buying the founders package..

If you just created that account and have zero knowledge... why not read some of the sticky posts in the forum, the dev blogs and such to get an overview before you ask that question? I'm pretty sure 90% of any questions you have would be answered then.

The game is still in Closed Beta... Beta invites had gone out back in May(??)... Founders packages went on sale in June... and, as a bonus for purchasing one... you get access to help BETA TEST the game before it goes Open Beta... that's when everyone can play... for FREE...

as Stickjock has said, the game is still in closed beta, and they decided to make closed beta access a reward for supporting the game in these early stages. earlier, they allowed in around 10K people, regardless of founders status.

the devs have repeatedly said that they do NOT want this game to become pay to win, and have been exploring options as to what you will be able to buy with real money. at this point, special in game cash and "premium" account status, which gives earnings bonuses are confirmed.

also, please read the stickies in the forum, they will teach you a lot.

So far I have neither read anything about or seen anything that implies Pay2Win.
It is Pay2SaveTime, but that is standard for F2P, right?

No, Devs have stated on many occasions that nothing will be in the game that will give a significant advantage. I suggest you read the stickes/dev blogs, they will give you all the information you require.

for people like me, who work full time, Pay2SaveTime is essential in order to keep up with the teenagers who can play for MANY more hours than I have available to me.

this is an excellent starting point - http://mwomercs.com/...-pretty-please/
but there are stickies at the top of most of the forum sections which are worth reading

I was civil. I have no interest in pandering though, least of all to people who cannot even read or capitalize properly when making a post that contains what amounts to "I realize this already answered somewhere and I am too lazy to find it, so I am going to make what I know is a likely false comment and flamebait. Now prove me wrong."

I have neither the time nor inclination to deal with morons, except to avoid seeing the same rubbish endlessly repeated.

Thank goodness. I've had enough P2W on another game based on a popular IP. I won't give its name but I can say it was a Trek through the Stars.
I don't mind spending money on a hobby or having to grind for ingame currency. I do dislike unbalanced bameplay though.

It's not bad to ask questions, but your initial post and title comes off rather troll like.

As far as what you were looking for information wise most people know to seek that under Dev announcement and stickies.

There is no fault in asking questions or looking for the communities views on aspects, but basic research usually does work quicker.

Good hunting.

Not really no... Most P2ST models use a per-ressource cost that is very low. The prohibition is on multi-spending, not on specialization. Taking Blacklight Retribution as an exemple (its the last P2ST i played), you can fully customize a single loadout in about 10 hours of gameplay. That means that, after 10 hours, you will have fully competitive gear to play with. You just have to stick to 1 gun and 1 armor type instead of buying upgrades for snipers and shotguns and pistols and rifles all at once.

In this case im guessing it will be about the same with Mechs, meaning if you focus on one mech's building you could get it up there pretty quick.

I don't have to try... have you considered applying your comment to yourself? Since you seem to think it's some sort of moral thing "mom" teaches? *****.

Edit: Hint - you can read, right? Re-read the final part of what you quoted, then ponder its meaning until enlightened.

so, since we seem to be on the topic of what our mothers taught us, I will throw this out there:
if you are nice to someone, chances are they will be in a better mood, and be nicer to the next person they meet. niceness actually SPREADS, so being nice to people helps make a community a nicer place beyond your single action.

Tell me, what pay 2 win games have you played, because WOT certainly isn't pay to win, the only people who claim that, are weak players looking for something to blame, instead of taking control and improving their own play.

In WOT premium tanks are balanced to be inferior to upgraded tanks of the same class and tier, yet the p2w drivel from the cheap seats is constant. The same is true for the cries about gold ammo, WG have re introduced blue tracers for gold ammo after all the crying, the truth is, very very few, carry gold ammo into pugs, and those that do have such poor stats that all the gold ammo in the world wont help them improve.

To be frank, I cant recall any f2p title I have played that I could call pay to win, and as I have been gaming since the ZX 80, I have seen more than a couple f2p titles of late. I am sure there must be some out there, but most whines about pay 2 win are just that, whining.

I will guarantee, once MW:O goes live, there will be posts claiming founders mechs are pay to win, its a given. Everyone here now, knows they are not, but such is the nature of the whiner, looking for any excuse to pin their poor performance on.
