He shares quite a few interesting details. Not sure about that, but maybe he even hints at the actual release date of the game. It's slightly cryptic, but it definitely looks like it to me.

Good that they are planning a tutorial.

I would have really liked the training area though. Hopefully we'll get one in the future,,,

If they dont put out a way for units to scrimmage each other and practice they had better hit Community Warfare out of the park and 90 days is the max they can wait to roll it out once they launch. If they don't the can kiss their community goodbye. If they would just develop the ability to create a private server the community would have made them their Community Warfare for free just like in other mech games MWL, NBT, VL, ect...

and if they would just put out an awesome map builder the community would create them all sorts of awesome maps for free and probably some single player missions if they'd make the map builder robust.. they;d get all this for free.. just dont see why they don't realize what this community can do for them.

Unless I read it incorrectly, Russ explained this might be moving toward a more traditional single-player environment, and frankly that's not what I want to see at all. I'm not a huge PvP fan, not in the least, and in fact I despise it, but instead of moving toward a single-player experience, why not move toward a cooperative multiplayer PvE/PvP mixed environment, where we're dropping on worlds with mixed forces, or have a mix of live-pilot and AI forces protecting a world, placed strategically and mission-based around the planetary map, where regardless of where we go or what we do, we can't honestly tell when, where, or who we will run into with regards to AI/live-pilot forces. They should be freely mixed in, live-pilots with AI pilots under their control can fight together... against other forces that may or may not be mixed, as well.

Do you understand what I'm getting at, here? All of the elements to allow this to take place have appeared in various computer games, already; what's to say these various game elements couldn't be utilized together to make a more full BattleTech universe experience?
