Hey,

Was just wondering if there were any {DR} guys from Mech warrior IV here planning to create a Dark Rift Merc Corp here. It's been a while and I can't remember all the handles from back then but I do remember {DR} Switch.

So, anyway, if anyone has heard anything about {DR} getting together for this please let me know. Thanks!

Hi. I was the leader of DR since 2003 til last year. The current Founder of DR is one of my best friends. I've been talking to him and it doesn't sound like they sre going to bring DR into MWO. Honestly, considering I'm the oldest member of DR with only two people still on the roster longer than me, but not active, is Steel Claws and Shin Kell, I doubt you know anyone still playing MW4 for DR. Alot of the old Vets from the days I believe your reffering to have teamed up with Kaos Legion. I invite you to come say hi and see if there is anyone in Kaos you know.

Wow, it really just dawned on me how long ago that was. Shame that DR won't be in MWO. Thank you for the invite to come hang out with Kaos. I'll come check out your site/forums soon.

I too miss the DR and X days. The league play is what it was all about. I still play with Sandbagger and Trashcandan (Banshee) who left us out the above list. lol I could add to it but we all know who we were. I don’t see me in the foreseeable future joining a clan/group/gang/cabal or a collection of like minded friends, until I see how this game pans out and we at least get some wing mirrors. But I do hope at some date league play will be possible.

Deadly Bunion has passed away. He was also known as Neuromancer, the creater of MWL(Mechwarrior Leagues). I was one of his top Admin at MWL and attended his funeral. The green ribbon on my sig is a rememberance ribbon for him.

Your thinking of someone else. Yes, Garand was a Soul before joining DR, but his Soul name was Perilous Soul. I didn't join DR until 2003 when The Lost Souls merged with DR.


BTW, anyone of you remember Sidhewyn? He just showed up on the Kaos website. And about your list-

Yep, I remember sid. Or did when he was mentioned. Been a while, sure theres still a few I've left out. Memory is gettin worse with age. And dents to the head.

Seen a few chickens here and there. Saw a.c. on here somewhere. A.C. Mad-spin comes to mind. good guy.

Hey TrashcanDan, long time no see!

I'm still waiting for some of those familiar names to re-emerge too. FYI, I was {DR} Skywriting back in the days before I joined HEL. That seems like a lifetime ago. I've seen Steel Claws on these forums (and in game) too. Not sure where he's playing, good player though. Karma and Joe are now in KaoS (via SI and HEL).

Does anyone remember Tigerman and the Danish guy whose name I can't recall (but should, because he was Lamda Lance's leader)?

Danish guy? hmmmmmm. Midnight Blues? He was Yerman I think, but can't pinpoint it.

All I can remember is most of the t.w.l. / bz/vl roster, tough to reach that far back

I'm still kicking around but I play most often after 12AM CST - working second shift sux arse.

**** lots of familier faces here. Killer used to make me laugh in a drop.. "Hey I'm gonna go over there and kill this guy." Usually did too.

**** guys we had a damn good time didn't we. Still remember all those DR vs **** drops in TWL. Epic stuff that was.

Tigerman was a great Shadowcat pilot, one of the best. Midnight Blues wasn't who I was thinking about, I've gone totally blank on that Danish guy's name. Doh!

I'm amazed KillerInstinct hasn't appeared yet. I do remember one particular TWL drop where he was smurfing for us (we didn't know at the time) and he and Exile were like this ungodly tag team raining gauss fire down upon the enemy. It was sick, sick, sick. One of the highest scores I've seen in league play (which is normally quite cautious).
