Will there be implimentation of the Death From Above tactic using jumpjets to knock over or crush mechs for damage?
I know in previous games you had a change of doing lethal damage with this tactic, but also could end up just legging yourself

This might be pretty hard to impliment, I am not sure however how the collision meshes are set on the MWO game models. After thinking it over it might be easier than I first thought. If they add a collison mesh(invisible) to the top of every mech's mesh. Then also add a collision mesh around the feet area. It could be coded so that the feet_COL01 would always destroy, knock down or cause damage to the head_COL02. These collision meshes could be excluded from interacting with the ground terrain or other collsion meshes of different types. Therefore it is possible to do. I hope the DEVs will add this feature. DFA is always fun to do.

"Melee" combat is in game in the form of DFA and ramming; I'm given to understand from a friend that the lowly dragon becomes an utter troll mech when you run it full speed into most other mechs.

Further, there are pilot talents that can effect the ammount of recoil damage you take when you attempt these manouvers.

::ceiling mech:: yeah, you'll get better replies "over there" what Ashla said is generally publicly known though...I'm not sure if there are directional jets, can't say I've had too many opportunities to play the game. : /

um...Jump...lands on head...causes damage...vs Punching with a mech...which is easier? hmmm
we already can jump and if aimed properly we can land on someones head...what to do next? hmm.. make a damage algorithm? sure..so im gonna say.. of course it will be :)
